Foundation help!

Im a very light skinned, i have no foundation that makes me skin not patchy/orange!!! I would normally spend £10 on my foundation which is dream satin liquid 004 porcelain.

I want a foundation that looks like i have some on but not to thick, i dont have enough money to buy loads of foundation and do testers!

My skin is dryish on my forehead but i always moisturiser it before hand and in the day.

Help!

You could try Liz Earle. She has recently brought out a foundation range and I really like it. Quite a light and natural looking coverage and plant based/ natural ingredients. I am fair skinned too and think I wear the lightest one. John Lewis stock it or her website is excellent. They will send samples of their shades so you can decide which one is best before purchasing.

I would say you need to use an exfoliater on your face about once a week to help with the dry skin. I have this problem and use the Body Shops Vitamin C Microdermabrasion once or twice a week and it's really good. Keep up with the moisturiser too.

As for the foundation I usually go into Boots and spend ages trying out different makes and shades from the stands (not the counters as too expensive!!). I found that natural beige from rimmel really suits me and I've been using their foundation for years.

My skin has changed since i took tablets from the dermatologist, roccuacutane i think it was spelt that and it made my pores got small so i get no spots and can wear very thick foundation without any spots!

I did look at the rimmel, but the mainstreams brands all are to dark for me. I have looked at the No.7 which is quite cheap.

I have ordered some samples for Liz Earle!!Grin

I've also just read another thread in S&B about certain Boots stores offering to 'scan' your skin to get a perfect match for No7 foundation. Can't link as on phone but that might be worth a read too.

I am also very fair and I use the lightest shade of bourgeois 10 hr sleep which is lovely and light feeling. I dust baby powder on instead of powder which works perfectly and is v v cheap! I find if I don't use any powder foundation just doesn't stay put as I have dry skin also and have to moisturize thoroughly before make-up but any powder foundation (even translucent types) make my foundation look too dark hence the baby powder.

I have seen the thread just now, i will go into boots with no foundation and see whar they say, money is no matter! I need a good foundation.

Good ideaGrin, i am on the hunt now! I will look at all the foundations and see whats the best for my skin!

Good plan but I would do it again once baby is born btw as your skin may well change after! I used to get away with dream matte mousse etc but it makes meitchy now.

It sucks, i has changed at least 3 times, once before when i had the treatment, then again and now im pregnant its changed AGAIN.

I will in a look at the fruity/healthy bourg, that looks quite nice and light and the one you said. Its on offer now in boots Grin
