Elasticated waist trousers for toddler girl - not leggings or jogging bottoms

Is it possible to buy trousers in age 3 with elasticated waists for girls? DD1 lives in leggings and jeggings as she doesn't like buttons around her waist and needs something that she can pull on and off herself when she goes to the toilet.
Leggings are fine, but I would like a bit of variety and maybe something warmer for autumn like cords or jeans.
Any ideas?

The last couple of years tesco have done a nice pair of cords with a wide ribbed elastic waistband.

Yep. Tesco usually do jeans with elasticated waists too.

H&M do nice trousers with adjustable elasticated waists, some of them are lined for winter too.

Try boden or H&M - my DD's love their jeggings from Gap - best trousers ever

I'm not sure about girls but my DS has a few different types of trouser/jeans from John Lewis and they all seem to have an adjustable elasticated waist. Might be worth having a look as it may be standard in their children's clothes.

Another vote for Gap! Their jeans are great, and there's 30% off from tom to Sunday.

Next/H&M/George have, in the past, done jeans with an elasticated waistband. Have bought them for both DS and DD.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've found trousers with adjustable elasticated waists, but they still have buttons are don't seem to be stretchy enough to pull on and off.

Got these ones for DD at the weekend asda no buttons, it's just a proper elasticated waistband, I think they had purple ones as well, nice and easy to get on and off, they also had ones which looked like jeans but with the same waistband and a skirt again with the same waistband.

porthcurnick · 05/09/2012 11:23

This is the skirt that DD has, elasticated again asda

porthcurnick · 05/09/2012 11:35

These are the jeans, not sure about the button decoration
jeans

more jeans

The ones DD has, no button at all on these owl jeans

My dd is exactly the same! She is 4 and I struggle to find trousers that aren't leggings for her. Last week I trawled Gap, John Lewis, H&M, Next and Zara and found one decent pair. Boden have several pairs for winter - she has the cords with hearts on the knees and a red cord pair too. Both just pull up. This summer I gave up trying to find her chinos without buttons so bought some from Next with elastic in the waist but buttons on and had buttons taken off and a popper put on instead. It didn't cost much.

I have the same problem. More elasticated waists are needed to promote independence surely? Really gets my goat.

Next do one great pair at the moment www.next.co.uk/x50630s5#846997x50

And the boys version which is even better looking: www.next.co.uk/x50746s2#838213x50

Always buy my daughter, about to turn 3, boys trousers as they're much harder wearing, look great on little tomboys, and can be passed down to her little brother!
