Moisturiser for 40yo, normal skin

I usually use No 7 Protect & Perfect Day Cream (the rub of moisturiser, not the individual P&P cream) and its nearly finished. I like it, but wondering if there is anything else out there that I am missing out on.

I've just turned 40, although am told that I don't look it (not being smug, promise!), have normal skin, occasional blemish, but on the whole it's in good nick. I'd prefer something with an SPF, I guess most have this now. So....any recommendations?

I know there's an argument that says i should stick with what I know, i just fancy a change!

I have started using rosehip oil at nights. It's like the nectar of gods it's so good.

No help for the day though.

Savoy thanks for replying. I was starting to think I smell...

Where do you get your rosehip oil? And how much do you apply, and how?

I'm coming round to the idea that it's not so much the actual pot of cream as the routine involved around looking after your skin....I'm 46 and have just gone back to my erstwhile favourite Neal's Yard Frankincense nourishing, but am also doing the 30% GA peel thingummy and facial oiling in the evening. Definitely noticing a glow coming through and lines down side of mouth are less deep.

The NY is cheaper than N7 unless there is a 3x2 on and is very very good and wins lots of awards. The N7 only wins accolades from research sponsered by, erm, Boots as far as I'm aware....(I do rate the serum though)

I've been using Clinique Superdefense which I love, but it is £27 and I am looking for something cheaper now I've run out. If you can afford it though it is lovely, sinks right in and makes your skin lovely and soft. I need something like it but about a third of the price. I have used the P&P before but find it slightly too heavy.

I got the rosehip oil at a health food type shop. Apparently you can get it at chemists and of course from Amazon. I just rub it in.

Oils definitely seem to be the thing at the moment. I have never used anything on my skin before that has wowed me.

I have just, on the back of another thread, bought rosehip oil from Amazon for £3.79.
