This morning I overheard someone describe me as looking like the kind of woman who.........

To my mind that doesn't sound like a compliment although I thought I looked ok. I do very occasionally clean my skirting boards though .

So can you please tell me what you imagine this kind of woman to wear.

sorry op - you've got a great plains dress, five impeccably behaved children and pink pumps.... you DO look like you'd have clean skirting boards.

i am always in jeans and cycle everywhere so am often dishevelled - i look like i'd have mucky skirting boards and the kind of house you have to keep your shoes on in - mostly that's true (although the bedroom floors are clean).

Not stealth boast Ephiny I've got used to getting up early and being organised because I'm a complete anal control freak and I can't bear chaos. I wish I was different.

I know I looked well groomed. (the dc behaving was just good luck ).

How do people who look like they have great sex lives dress. I need to know.

I have probably never been that organised or well-groomed in my life. I probably look like the kind of person who couldn't find my skirting boards (or indeed my iron or my hairbrush...)

It must be a stealth boast, btw not at the hordes of kids, dr's app't or clothes but at what you wanted to be included in the comment: fun, great life, great sex.

It might have been a very complimentary expression on your fecundity/ rear view and your DP's virility along the lines of "all she has to do is clean the skirting boards and her DP gets her pregnant". I think the commentator was jealous. Take it as a compliment on your sexual allure / domestic goddess traits

If it is any consolation I was at the doctors this morning and received no such comments. I think it might have been because ds3 was clutching nasty 99p plastic gun I had bought to bribe him to go for his mmr booster and I was getting worming medicine for my dd2 and hence all of us. And the nurse explained the dosage of the medicine to us in the reception so I think other people knew. All a bit pants really so you should be proud of yourself and dcs.
I was wearing toast leggings and a people tree dress and lipstick so perhaps that is a look to avoid. I want to be the woman who looks like she has clean skirting boards.
