Bikini line laser hair removal

I get bored of keeping my bikini line in check and wondered if anyone has ever had it permanently removed with laser treatment. If it's possible to have is it costly, and what are the logistics?

Thanks :)

Hi, I had it done about five years ago and it worked very well for me. It worked better on that area than under arm. I am dark. haired and I know it works better on this hair type than fair. It was expensive then, but I think you could get a good deal now.

It's okay. I was surprised by the length of the gap you need to leave between sessions if you have it done in a salon (I'm sure if I bought a machine at home I would be doing it all the time!). I've found that although it works well, it is taking a long time and isn't finished yet although I've been going for months. I have the ideal colouring too - pale skin, dark hair.

Cost wise, I would definitely consider buying a machine unless you can find money-off offers at your local salon. I paid £280 for my course (half price) and I will need at least a few more sessions so will probably work out the same as one of the Phillips machines overall.

Thanks very much for the responses! I am also that colouring, but the cost is quite a lot - I think I might need to prioritise other things really.

I will look into it though to see if there are any good deals in my area. We do have a lot of salons in my town for some reason.

I had mine done a few years ago. I think probably about 9 years ago??

It hurt at first - the more hairs there are the more stingy it is, ofcourse as the course of treatment progresses there are less hairs left to catch so it hurts less :)

However, it isn't permanent. The woman who did mine was very careful to point out that it is actually 'long term hair reduction'. My hairs have begun to grow back - in the last two\three years. But not loads. If I am wearing a bikini in public I get the tweezers out - or if feeling brave runmy epilator over ..

I had my underarms done too in more recent years. That was worth it - as no dark stubble. They have started to grow back a little too now - but i just leave alone in winter, and in summer a quick epilate once every couple of weeks or so.

It is worth it though IMO.

I think I paid about £90per session for the bikini line - and £50 for armpits. Each required about 6/7 sessions.

I do see quite frequent Groupon offerso n IPL treatments. Could be worth signingup for that?

I had 6 sessions on my bikini line and it reduced the hair quite a lot, but it didn't get rid of it. I couldnt really afford (or justify) to carry on but I would love to get a home one and give it all a blast again.

I also had 8 sessions on my armpits (at a different place) and I have to say it has made pretty much no difference. I would say it is very slightly less "stubbly".

I think it depends on the machine and where you go... Mostly it doesnt seem to work for me..

I am also very fair skinned and dark haired so I should be the ideal candidate

I had it done last year and it has worked well for me. I was getting massive itchiness on regrowth after shaving and couldn't get on with anything else. I do still have to do the odd whizz over with the bic razor but very rarely and no itching. Cost about £300 IIRC but lots of offers on groupon.
