Reasonably priced moisturiser for beauty snob

I love moisturiser, tested out many. Used to use a chanel one that has been discontinued so now using a Lancôme one, but finding these brands costly - pointless using a good moisturiser if I have to scrimp on using it.

I need something moisturising ie not like Cliniques yellow one which I think is crap, but not greasy which I find Nivea soft to be.

Any recommendations gratefully received.

I agree sleepdodger, I have wasted time and money on useless products, cheap and expensive. Dermalogica seems to work on my combination skin.

I have just discovered a nice alternative to Liz Earle which is The Body Shop aloe vera smoothing day cream - they also do a night cream. Very very impressed.
