These boots. Yes or no?

I have worn wedge sandals or metallic strappy flats all summer.
I have suede wedge boots for A/W but I want something for under jeans. Casual and handy for days out with the smallies.
Are these shite? I didn't like them but they're growing on me.

I don't wear trainers/converse type things usually so help please.
Oh, I'm 34 if that makes a difference

Well, I like them but I live in Australia which is not particularly known for its style.

poorbuthappy · 31/08/2012 12:47

I like them too. Let's hope no one comes in to tell us how crap we are!!
I would really like Ash wedge ones, but can not afford them. Sad

PerryCombover · 31/08/2012 12:48

yes

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 31/08/2012 12:49

Haha, thanks for that savoy :)

I should probably just go and try them. They're cheap enough....

Christ I can not shop for myself anymore. I'm gone very 'safe' in my choices.

I'll just have to get them now (easily led-and pleased)

Naysayers, don't just say no. Bring suggestions, constructive criticism and all that

OP posts:
ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 31/08/2012 13:40

Yes.

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 31/08/2012 13:42

No.

LeMousquetaireAnonyme · 31/08/2012 13:50

no, the worse of the 80's. go for trainers or high heels, not for high heel trainers

FrancesFarmer · 31/08/2012 13:54

They are fine although personally, I like my trainers flat! They're "based" a See by Chloé design.

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 31/08/2012 14:00

See above, naysayers are only allowed to naysay if they give me alternatives damnit. Grin
I wouldn't wear flat trainers with jeans so I'm trying to do casual but comfortable.

Callisto · 31/08/2012 14:13

I'm not keen either. I love wedge heels, but not on boots for some reason. Boots should either be flat or have a chunky heel, but never a wedge.

iamnotinterestedinyourkids · 31/08/2012 14:13

they ok - how will you wear them?>

Callisto · 31/08/2012 14:16

IMO of course. If you really like them go for it.Your jeans will hide most of the boot anyway.

TiggerWearsATriteSmile · 31/08/2012 14:21

This is it Callisto, I don't really like them. I didn't like them at all when I saw them first. I'm just finding it hard to come up with an alternative for casual wear.
I'm not even 5ft3 so would not wear completely flat boots with jeans cos I look dumpy

OP posts:
FunnysInLaJardin · 31/08/2012 14:23

no sorry, they look like a weird cross between a trainer and a boot plus the colour is sludgy.

Callisto · 31/08/2012 14:26

Oh, deffo don't buy them then. There are some lovely alternatives if you want a heel. I'll try and come up with some.

FunnysInLaJardin · 31/08/2012 14:28

how about these

witchwithallthetrimmings · 31/08/2012 14:34

have a look at clarks or jones the bootmaker.

TheCraicDealer · 31/08/2012 14:43

Listen to Funny! I got a pair of those Clarks Yarras in the walnut a few weeks ago and I love them, really comfy and give me a bit of height (also 5"3). All the five star reviews on the website are well deserved!
