I wasn't going to do a thread as I actually don't think I fancy much, but you've persuaded me - so...

Item One - some khaki jeans, maybe skinny or maybe straight leg, to wear with ankle boots. Topshop seems the obvious place but I haven't dared tried any on in case I'd need a size 22 or something! Am a size 12 in 'normal' shops.

Item Two - a fine knit slouchy jumper to wear with black or blue skinnies, maybe grey or burgundy, or perhaps striped, or something

Item Three - a pencil skirt, either burgundy or black or possibly even patterned, in lovely thick cotton with a bit of stretch in it. I don't know what it's called though. And it can't be too long because I am short of arse.

Item Four - a denim shirt, but a neat and fitted one not a slouchy one

Item Five - a striped slouchy t-shirt but in less obvious colourings than a Breton - eg purple and black / pink and burgundy / khaki and something / silver and grey. This may not exist at all but I want it! And I want it to be lovely and soft and possibly have Vivienne-inspired draping at the neck.

That'll do for now! Ta. :)

The length/fit of that Westwood shirt look perfect but the orb is too 'in yer face' I think.

Glad to hear you're well, Tethers, and enjoying your two girls. Have seen v little of my two for most of the holiday - they appear when they want money and/or food!

Everlong - any chance of a link please?

NotMostPeople - will have a look in Mango. Haven't bought anything in there since about 1997!

J Crew again

LauraPashley · 28/08/2012 23:29

Slouchy jumper wearers- what do/will you wear under them? My bra straps are not nice enough to be showing

noddyholder · 28/08/2012 23:38

I am on the lookout for some decent tightish vests seen any?

NotMostPeople · 29/08/2012 00:06

I wear a nude Cami with strapless bra underneath. I don't like too many different straps as it distracts however I'm average of nork, so no need for mega support.

NotMostPeople · 29/08/2012 00:07

Noddy - Primark is your friend here, Cami are snug, long but can be ruched to be made shorter and come in a vast choice of colours.

ImpossiblyGlossy · 29/08/2012 07:25

I got denim shirt and pencil skirt at Zara last year.

PlumSykes · 29/08/2012 07:48

White co have some nice knitwear, though lengths of some look a bit odd.

NMP which part of primark are they in clothes or lingerie? I like to get in and out of our local one quick!

NotMostPeople · 29/08/2012 09:15

Noddy I hear you. They are in with clothes near t-shirts not to be confused with the vests and only £2 or £3 each so worth grabbing a few.

noddyholder · 29/08/2012 09:38

Smile thanks

monkeysmama · 29/08/2012 10:56

The H&M vests are good too. The ones with red tag labels. They keep their shape, come in loads of colours & wash and dry well/quick.

The J Crew denim shirt is v similar to the Gap one in the sale. The Zara denim shirts are lovely but small sizing. The mid blue is the nicest.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/08/2012 12:51

Will look in Gap - had a quick run through the other day but didn't see any. Then again, I was busy moaning about not finding any of the right kind of jeans I was looking for!

I really like this jumper but can't afford to spend that much. And don't want handwash.

Like these too.

I've just bought these khakis in Gap and they're very flattering.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 29/08/2012 14:35

Thanks Sorel. I think those might have been the ones I saw. If so, I want thicker fabric and generally more 'jeansy' than those.
