Anyone had shoes stretched?

I have very difficult feet- narrow.
I am also a 5.5 one foot and a 5 the other. because of my narrowness, I can usually wear a 5 but I also have turned up big toes, so in some styles- ballet shoes especially- my toe hits the top of the shoes, toe end.
Could a cobbler stretch the shoe a bit just to give a fraction more room- thinking I need depth not so much length.

Yes, i had this done at pied a terre years ago by their own cobbler. Worked a treat. For more minor adjustments, depending on the material/finish you could do the hot spoon/chunky socks double! Don't hold me responsible though...

I bought some sort of spray once, that you sprayed on the leather, then wore the shoe to stretch it as needed.

I'm not sure it worked, but it was a tough ask (boots too tight over calves).

I tried my local cobbler...to see if he would do it, but he could only sell me the spray to do at home. Having gone up half a size after children lots of mine don't fit.

You can buy shoe stretchers and do it yourself at home. Amazon have them for £8 or £9.

I had some shoes that weren't deep enough, so after googling for a bit, I put a freezer bag of water into the toes, and then the shoes into the freezer. As the water froze it expanded and stretched the leather. Well, worked a treat for 1 shoe, but never could get the other one as comfy. Might be worth a go though.

Get a wooden shoe stretcher and some of the spray stuff?
