Right, have decided I want a boob job - can anyone help answer my questions please?

After bfing 4 DCs, and having spent the past 5 years continuously pregnant and/or bfing I am left with rather sad looking breasts. It's not just that they're small - I've always been an A cup - it's that all the stuffing has gone. I literally have two flaps with a nipple attached to each and they're so empty they are actually wrinkly.

Before having children I would boost my bust by wearing well padded bras but these no longer work for me as they just sit on top of my boobs and I'm left with a gap. In a low cut top this means that anyone taller than me (therefore most people as I'm only 5'!) can see right down my bra. Also, I miss my boobs during sex.

So, I've reached a decision. I want to do something about them and I want a boob job. I have no idea where to start though! I don't know how much it will cost or where is best to get it done (must be in the UK though), I'm in East Anglia if anyone can recommend somewhere. Also, silicone or gel? Are there different shapes? I'm sure I could find all my answers by booking a consultation but I want to be clued up beforehand if possible.

Thanks!

How long is it since you stopped breastfeeding? Mine felt empty and flat for a while but then went back to (almostGrin) normal.

You can buy really nice bras that make boobs look fake. Much less risky at least.

It's been about 3 months. Maybe they'll fill out a little, I've lost a lot of weight recently and I'm a size 6 so without putting on weight (which I really don't want to) I can't see them ever getting bigger.

I don't want big boobs, I'd be happy at a B cup or even an A. I wear a 28AA now and don't even fill that :(.

X posted Krumbum - I've tried on so many bras in the last couple of weeks in an attempt to find something. If I could make them look better at least clothed then I'd be fine but seriously, any padded/boost/fake boob type bra just doesn't fit. Because I have nothing to push up I'm just left with a big gap at the top of the bra cup and looking down you can see my wrinkly boobs as the cups sit away from my chest itms?

My OBGYN had implants - for the reasons OP outlined. She called her breast oven mitts and is very happy with the transformation.
Good luck!

My breasts were the same. 3 months after stopping feeding, they were empty flaps of skin. Two years on they've filled out and I'm back to the size I was before breast feeding/pregnancy.

OurLadyOfTheUpsideDown · 24/08/2012 16:59

Reading with interest as I'm in pretty much the same situation as OP, except my right breast looks as it always did and my left is a shrivelled, drooped, empty sack (DS had a favourite side).

I'm also a size 6 so don't want anything more than a B cup.

OhThisIsJustGrape · 24/08/2012 17:23

OurLady, I could've been left lopsided too as my last two babies each had a preferred side. Thankfully they favoured different sides!

Ha! That's something to thank them for when they're older...Grin

It's good to read here that time sorts things out to a certain extent... we also stopped about three months ago... I just never imagined my boobs would go back to smaller than pre-pregnancy (or, worse still, lopsided).

I have C cup boobs, and have been planning a boob job for years. However, theres a certain bra from Marks and Spencer that has stalled me a bit. Its not on the website. However, i love it so much i bought another one last weeks. Its called 'Plunge Bra' and is £22.50. Best bra ive ever had. Just putting that out their incase anyone finds it useful.

Now, OP. I would find a well recommended Surgeon who can talk you through all the questions you have.
