Has anyone spoken to their GP about oily T-zone?

I have always just lived with it, and accepted it as is, but now in my mid 30s it is getting more severe. I use products tailored to my skin type and have had most success with Dermalogica and then BMinerals makeup. Within 2 hours all my makeup has gone and my skin is not just shiney, but horrid. I dont want to be laughed at by going to see my dr for something 'cosmetic' but it is becoming a problem for me to just 'deal with'. Has anyone else faced this?

I have the same issue but don't know what to do about it - I wish it was normal to go to a dermatologist here like it is in the states. I use blotting papers from eBay which help. I've also seen a HUGE improvement since giving up sugar and wheat, in fact I'm not using the papers now really. Sorry not to be more help :(

I don't think your GP will say/do much, unless you've acne or rosacea with it.

I think your only option is to see a private dermatologist with a cosmetic interest. At that, they may be limited as to what they can do to help. Worth a go I think, if you're that distressed about it. It is a nuisance isn't it?
