If you're mid 20s and on a tightish budget, where do you buy your clothes?

I don't really know where to shop at the moment. I used to get quite a bit from New Look but feel a bit old for that now, and H&M quality seems to be crap these days. I've found myself looking in M&S a bit but I'm not ready to be middle aged yet!
Where should I be shopping?

Dorothy Perkins mostly, plus fat face and white stuff in the sale.

I'm 25 and I mostly shop in Topshop sale, H&M (can find the odd bit of good quality stuff and they do loads of skater cut dresses that suit me), Zara sale, Mango sale, Bershka, Forever 21, Pull and Bear, American Apparel (quality is so so), Gap and Urban Outfitters sale. I love shopping Blush

I spent my teenage years dreaming of buying an item of clothing from fat face , but now that I could actually afford it (if having an extravagant day) I've slightly gone off their stuff.
Hard to find time to browse charity shops with a toddler but I'll give it a go sometime.
blueemerald I haven't even heard of half of those! Gap sale is very good for jeans though

Got a gorgeous top from tkmaxx a few weeks ago £3!
They've got loads of nice stuff in, for reasonable prices if you're prepared to spend hours going through the rails

Of course, TKMaxx (slaps forehead) half my wardrobe is from there!! The more unusual shops might be harder to find outside of cities. I usually head to Westfield shopping centre and they're all there. Some should have online ordering facilities though.

Forever 21 great for trends at a very affordable price point. I'd liken it to a US Primark. Pull and Bear and Bershka are part of the Inditex Group, so are like Zara and Massimo Dutti's more fun, slightly sluttier little sisters. Again very reasonable and trend led.

I am 27, and while I do shop high end for the most part I really rate Uniqlo for basics like skinny jeans and knitwear, the cuts are very good and the styles have that understated Japanese cool, plus they do excellent designer collaborations.

River Island are another who do really good 'fun' fashion.
