Sea salt spray for tousled hair...tips and advice please

I'm intrigued by the idea of using a sea salt spray on my (layered shoulder length slightly wavy) hair for a natural, tousled look.
I've heard mixed opinions on it though, from some saying it is great and others saying it is drying or leaves hair sticky.

So anyone got any experiences with using sea salt spray, good or bad? And what brand, or do you make your own?

Ta muchly.

There was a thread about this recently. Lots of people (including me) recommended the Label M one from Toni&Guy - not crunchy at all. The Boots Toni&Guy one is pretty good but the Label M one is nicer.

Not sure, Schrodingers- I would have thought it was the sugar which was the active ingredient, so possibly not.

On the other hand, fuck it, what harm can it do? Do it and let us know...

If I start a thread saying "all my hair has crisped up and fallen out, what can I do?" you'll know it didn't go well :o

Re using coke I bet it's the sugar that is the bit that works, as back in punk days they used to get their mohicans to stick up straight and rigid with a strong sugar solution.

Going to do the Coke thing tonight. :o

Wish me luck! Will post a picture after I do it. :)

Are you on Pinterest? I've seen homemade versions.

Sugar works! My old Mum worked in a sugar refinery years ago- the 50's! The girls only washed their hair on a Friday night. The other nights they rolled it in pin curls which set with the sugar dust in their hair.
