So if im going to embrace the skinnies i know ballet pumps are thee footwear to be wearing if its too warm for boots, sadly ive never been able to get on with them before they either are too big and rub my heel when i walk, or too small and crush my toes and cut the skin at the top of big toe and thats just walking around the house! im a size 6 feet and have 2 pairs in a 6 and one in a 5, the fives crush me, one pair of 6's crush me and the other 6's way to big, two pairs are from new look and one from george ive never been able to wear any out of the house so end up in my bootcuts and plimsolls :( can anyone recommend a good place for them or know what im doing wrong in my purchasing it seems everybody else can wear them!

oh and i dont like showing my toes so thats why im so keep to make them work rather than opt for sandals etc

Hush Puppies. They take some breaking in but they are like slippers and so pretty and look brand new for ages

Next do some in nubuck leather that are v comfy. They also do half sizes in some v popular sizes, like a 6, 6.5. They are £30 which is quite reasonable Smile

I also struggle to find comfy ballet pumps, but my problem is usually at the heel - I invariably end up with them cut to shreds.

Clarks so far seem the best to me, as they often have quite soft or padded heels (the more expensive ones anyway Hmm) and comfy soles too - I don't want to feel like I've got a sheet of card between me and the ground.

sleepy I've been considering the Clarks Henderson Fun - are they comfy at the heel or need breaking in?

I also love, love, love the look of the Banana Republic ones - but so £££!!

Have been impressed by both Clarks and Stuart Weitzman for R&B. Both have a tiny heel and rubber soles. Good for all day wear and walking. The Calrks pair is in its third year and is only just beginning to show wear on the patent leather (not helped by me now wearing them to drive in).

can anyone recommend wide fitting ones...my dd2 (14) has really wide feet, have tried M & S, clarks, lands end etc - they need to be really robust too... Hmm

Any suggestions for ballet pumps that have support in the arch?

DontCallMeMummyPig · 13/08/2012 17:32

I have some v comfy French Connection ones. Tan with a white toecap. Really soft leather but supportive and well cushioned.

SquishyCinnamonSwirls · 13/08/2012 17:34

I bought some lovely Rocket Dog ones at the weekend. They're really comfy and have a proper sole not a piece of cardboard that wears through in a fortnight.

reluctanttownie · 13/08/2012 17:51

Have you tried Accessorize? They do some that are lined with suede which my blister-prone feet love. They're lovely soft leather too, so wouldn't press on toes so much.

Has anyone tried those Shoe therapy ballets? I find ballet pumps too flat and v uncomfortable. These sound like they should be ok but has anyone given them a go?

Here

These salmon ballet pumps at topshop cost 16 quid and are so comfy i live in them.....

These, from accessorize: nude corsage ballet pumps

are my other pair for dressing up slightly. Love them both and would buy again and again. Wear with skinnies.

I can't help sorry as I can't find any either. I think I have a deep big toe! As my big toe nail gets really sore from rubbing the top if the shoe. Im the same with patent court shes. If I get a size bigger they rub the back of my foot and fall off. I've managed to find two pairs from next in snakeskin, they feel like slippers and seem to give around my toes. Apart from those I've resorted in the summer to peep toe ones.
