chinley - when you say "It's easy to dismiss something that has neither evidence or statistics."

What, like your own personal experience (statistical sample of one)?

WavingLeaves · 10/08/2012 18:41

"Well I've never said it or implied it so I can't speak for those people I'm afraid."

You categorically stated that NO non-hairies had slagged off the hairies on this thread. Not true Smile

Luvlyjubblyclothes · 10/08/2012 18:44

Whether you appreciate a question about your decency or not is irrelevat.

It's called being a good loser- when you question points made for lack of evidence, then the evidence is given and you can't be big enough to say "Ah, okay".

Yes, you thanked Garlic but as the next phrase was an attempt at a joke, then the thanks didn't seem sincere.

"I'll keep shaving it all off thanks, the rest of you can walk around like monkeys if you like "

Is that not an insult then?

WavingLeaves · 10/08/2012 19:29

"waving, I never stated my opinion was a 'medical fact', unlike a previous poster did, which is who that statement was aimed at."

No, but you have said that your opinion of the medical evidence hasn't changed, based purely on your personal experience.

Msarsebiscuit · 10/08/2012 19:32

There appears to be no real scientific consensus on pubic hair but this is an interesting theory ( feels a bit itchy ) www.newscientist.com/blogs/shortsharpscience/2009/02/why-humans-alone-have-pubic-ha.html

Luvlyjubblyclothes · 10/08/2012 19:35

Chinley So now my acknowledgement wasn't 'sincere' enough.

LOL! Your acknowledgement wasn't remotely sincere.

You are too up your own arse ( probably fishing for hairs) to admit that Garlic ( ann me) produced evidence that counteracts your own personal experience.

Interesting theory Msarsebiscuit. Sexual selection does make sense when you think about it - we grow pubes at sexual maturity and lose them in old age when we are no longer fertile. The big triangle up front can't be for protection of anything. They definitely do trap pheromones, DP loves burying his nose in mine (sorry, TMI).

The same would hold true for pit hair and for beards and chest hair on men. If there's no obvious evolutionary advantage for something, it's probably there because our ancestors liked the look of it.

So ... removing pubes could be the equivalent of a peacock pulling out all his tail feathers Grin

Luvlyjubblyclothes · 10/08/2012 20:50

Chinley- I don't need your "respect" on an anon forum, or anywhere for that matter. It's worthless to me.

I'm afraid you were the one who took the huff after I said you weren't decent enough ( something that obviously provoked you) to admit you were wrong on the lack of evidence.

Your problem if you can't stand being wrong on something and you made it personal.

Msarsebiscuit · 10/08/2012 21:00

PlentyofPubeGarden, I feel sorry for the researcher spending hours peering at primate groins.... ( in fact I'm now seriously considering a name change to 'PrimateGroins' - I feel it has a certain élan )

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 10/08/2012 21:09

I don't believe any of you have clicked on my link for the product to make your pubes soft, glossy and full of bounce Grin

Alurkatsoftplay · 10/08/2012 21:09

Chinley, you must have missed this; only five comments in before "bushy fanjo yuk. Long live the Hollywood"

The bald ones clearly started it!

FastidiaBlueberry · 10/08/2012 21:17

Arf at that fanjo shampoo.

All that variety Grin

Eeeeuw!nasty nasty article! Shock
I kicked the beautician in the face when I had one done...never dared go back...anyone who says it doesn't hurt is telling porkies I think Wink

Luvlyjubblyclothes · 10/08/2012 22:49

You are funny Chinley- your last post said you were not going to engage in any more posts with me.

What changed?

If you want to have the last word and start childish name calling "You are not a very nice person" then have it. Do you think I care about your opinion?

You are narked because I pointed out that you coudln't take criticism and someone producing evidence which contradicted you.

It really is time you got over that and moved on.

Chinley

You're right. I am a truly nasty person. I had the temerity to point out where I thought you were in the wrong - simply by your lack of seriousness over the posts by Garlic which contradicted your beliefs.

You obviously need to have the last word. That's fine. Feel free if that gives you some kind of satisfaction.

Before I get on with my life and stop wasting time on you, let me remind you who started getting personal. Check out the timing of your posts here and they come a long way before the one of mine you chose to quote. I was responding to your comments- if you can't take it, then don't dish it out in the first place.

Oh and I hope you have massively hairy pits, otherwise slightly hypocritical don't you think?

luvly fgs, get over yourself. So now my acknowledgement wasn't 'sincere' enough. Jesus.

NurseBernard · 11/08/2012 10:01

OhEmGee24 - less than 10 posts in, and you're all: [confused. bushy fanjo yuck!

...and then only a few posts later getting all uppity...

'No a full wax is not yuck. It's personal preference. ... So please, to all those saying its gross and childlike, grow up!'

Cop onto yourself!

So it's OK for you to throw insulting words around, but apparently totally unfair for such words to be thrown at you. Confused How does that work?

These threads are always a diverting half hour's read. Humans have been in existence for millennia and yet we still have pubic hair. Millions of years of evolution can't be wrong. It's not subjective; of course the presence of pubic hair is more hygienic.
