Best hairbrush for little girls?

sundaybest · 07/08/2012 10:02

My DD is 16 months and has a lovely curly hair. I only have a baby hairbrush and a baby comb. Both useless. I would like to buy her a really nice little girls' hairbrush and I'm willing to spend a bit more money (around £30).
I heard Mason Pearson are good. Does anybody have one? Or do you have any other ideas?
Thanks!

Mason and Pearson are very good but I'd also recommend a Tangle Teezer. I have both and think they are fab.

northernmonkey · 07/08/2012 10:45

I'd recomend a tangle teaser any day

We have a tangle teezer - it's a girly one which looks like a flower and comes.with it's own pot to hold clips.etc. It's fantastic for pain free/ no.drama hair brushing.

Tangle Teezer is the best for curly hair. I just got one for DD and I can finally brush her hair without her crying!

EasterEggHuntIsOver · 07/08/2012 10:55

Was also going to mention tangle teezer - you can buy them from Amazon

tangle teezer, another 500 votes from me. They sell them in boots too. Both me and DD have seriously curly hair and I remember the tears and angst every bloody time my mum brushed my hair when I was a child. With dd? No issues at all. I have one myself too now, as does my mum!

Thanks a lot. Will try and take a look at it in boots.

Another vote for tangle teezer. They are brilliant!

vesela · 09/08/2012 11:21

I'd go for Mason Pearson. DD has a Tangle Teezer which is good, but my mother recently gave her a Mason Pearson, and it's better - she gets the tangles out with it more easily.

We had Mason Pearsons when we were children - mine lasted ages, and I haven't had a hairbrush as good since.

HipHopSkipJumpomous · 09/08/2012 11:27

I have 2 very curly girls, one quite battered Tangle Teezer (it's OK - no miracle worker but its OK) and yesterday I brought a Tangle Tamer (also pink & also from Boots) - but that is yet to be put through it's paces.

I'm desperate - will try anything to keep dreadlocks at bay.

Zhaghzhagh · 09/08/2012 15:37

I've just had a Tangle Teezer sent to me here in Sydney (for less than 9 pounds postage inclusive) as they cost $30.00 here in Australia.

I have a Tangle Tamer for DD1 which works a treat. Her hair is straight and tangly however.

I use a mason Pearson brush on my dds. In the mornings they look like they have been to a lion's hairdresser. It used to take ages to get their hair brushed through.
