What will I wear with my new skinny autumn jeans on my feet?

just bought some new lovely gap skinny denim leggings in green, plum and a dark blue... They look good with ballet pumps... But I am wondering how I am going to wear them in the rain?

Will they look odd tucked into boots? (I have flat black ones with buckles and also brown tan flat mid high boots)...

Would brogues be the thing? And do you wear socks in that case? The jeans are slightly cropped.

I haven't thought about clothes or style for a few years but suddenly am finding it fun again... But seem to have a lot of new rules to work out!

I have been living in blue, black or grey skinnies and jumpers with converse or ballet pumps for years now. And having thrown some colour into the mix am all confused.

Also what colour do you wear on top with wine and bottle green???

Help me please! Thanks so much..... It a minefield.

I almost wish I'd stuck to my blue grey palate, as then I wouldnt have to think!

Teritus have you still your receipts from Gap? Once the 30% promo is out, just go and rebuy the skinnies, then return them on the original full price receipt. Still saving 30%!

I do this all the time with Gap as they are forever having promos or reducing stuff. Bit of a faff, but 30% is not to be sneezed at!

I like heeled ankle boots, with a slightly cuban heel. I think the way to avoid the trotter look is to ensure that the boots are slightly loose fitting around the ankle: ie slightly cowboy shaped rather than Edwardian lady shaped, if that makes sense?

Flat boots and brogues look too mannish imho - and knee high boots can look a bit Sloaney. Converse low tops or Converse-alikes, in leather not canvas can look okay, if feet are quite small -otherwise you can easily veer into clown-esque or golf-club-esque, especially if ankles/legs are quite slim..
