Swimwear post baby...help!

I need a small miracle. Going on holiday in a couple of weeks and need some new swimwear. I have managed to lose my baby weight, I'm a size 10 (with no boobs and a big ass). Normally wear bikinis that are supremely padded. Despite losing my pregnancy weight, my stomach is not very toned and has horrendous stretch marks.

Should I brazen it out in a bikini anyway? Haven't had a swimsuit since I was ten, apart from a sports one (which flattens my chest further).

Any ideas on nice swimsuits that are under-wired/padded?

Also, don't want to look like I'm wearing something too young for me. Turning the big 30 this year...eek! Grin

Whatever you feel confident in is best!
I'll never wear a bikini again but debenhams has great stylish one pieces!

I normally just don't care (apart from the padding to balance me out). It's hard getting used to this new body and knowing what will look ok.

I love Figleaves own brand stuff. I bought a tankini from there for my first post-baby hol. It was great. Underwired bra cups, roomy but rushed tum area, pants with ruffles. Felt great in it. It was quite pricey, i think maybe 60 in total but it was worth it to feel really comfortable on the beach and not be hoiking at strings etc

My DD is now 3.5 but I still wear all* my Serafine clothing, which is just as flattering post-bump as it was with because they use high quality elastane/cotton mixes and well designed ruches. I'd be tempted by their swimwear.

*all = 3 pieces which was all I could afford Grin

Swimsuits are way sexier, if you buy a good one.

How about a swim dress?

CuriosityCola · 31/07/2012 09:40

I haven't heard of swim dresses?

Thanks for the links. Going to have a look now.

This is great: swimsuit
Halter neck with padded cups in a bright colour to enhance the top half, ruche in the middle to disguise tummy wobbles and black at the bottom to hide the bum. As the reviews say, size up though, it is a tight fit!

I love that swimsuit, think it was just what I was looking for!Smile

I had this and did following ;also sim size to you;
1 fake tan- wobbles are better brown Grin
2 first few days tummy hold in cozzi from sainos it was fab leopard 1 shoulder so not frumpy
3 latter few days bikini when I realised everyone around me wasbt post dc and actually bigger Wink

  • just get well fitted bra top with padding rather than triangles
Have a fab time!

I actually got a swimsuit post birth last year. Haven't had one since high school. I just can't face the world with my stretch marks Sad.

CuriosityCola · 03/08/2012 09:12

Thanks for the advice sleepdodger. It's depressing isn't it toddler? It's like the end of a chapter/era that I wanted to keep a little longer Grin
