Growing out eyebrows - taking forever!

Fair enough, I have been plucking them (badly) for about 20 years. I've been converted to the appeal of thicker, more groomed eyebrows so I'm trying to let them grow out and then get them professsionally threaded.

It's just taking aaaaaaaages! A few stragglers have grown out but the shape of my eyebrow hasn't got thicker at all. I haven't had the tweezers near them for about 6 months. Is there anything I can do to encourage them back (other than build a time machine and not start plucking in the first place)?

Sounds like the hair follicle has been altered by the years of plucking (it happens) and not be producing the hairs the same. I doubt there is much you can do about it. They may just be growing very very slowly

You simply must get some stencils and powder! - Changed my life! - I got a set called 'Wow Brow' and they are superb!

I'm intrigued KatoPotato - tell me more! Where from? How much? How much time to apply in the mornings?

It takes seconds, honest! I use this powder

I cant link to the stencils as its a Facebook page (I'm at work shhh!) but you can also get other sets on amazon, ebay etc...

Pic on my profile you cna sort of see them... I promise it's not at all 'scouse brow'

Wow, your brows look lovely Kato - so nicely shaped and not scouse brow at all! Does the powder have fairly good staying power during the day? Will look up stencils - thanks Smile

Yep if you've been plucking for 20 years it's unlikely that they'll ever grow back to their previous state. Powder is ace.

Incidentally, if you fancy something less of a daily faff but more permanent.

My friend who had chemotherapy and permanently lost her eyebrows was given the details of an eyebrow tattoo person. This person does not do tattoos of the typical kind and services only people for reconstructive cosmetic tattoos.

She has had her old eyebrows drawn back on permanently and they look awesome, you wouldn't know without getting really in her face they were not her own and she doesn't have the problem of accidentally wiping them off when sweaty/swimming/itches etc etc

Because it is the persons speciality, the finished look and colour etc is all a top job.

The person she saw is based in Lancashire but I am sure she can't be the only one. :)
