so what shall I get? I like my hair to dry fast but not be fluffy, I have had my current dryer for a gazillion years and it is a Nicky Clarke professional one.

Whats new nowadays?

this is what I covet. It's what they use in salons.

I currently have a high wattage Babyliss one, which is pretty good.

thanks bonzo that looks like what they use in my hairdressers too, will ask next time I am in. Dont think I could pay 70 + for a hairdryer.

Was going to say parlux 3200 but been beaten to it. It is a brilliant hairdryer, so quick, totally recommend it.

JaxTellerIsMyFriend · 21/07/2012 13:27

hmm might have to look into this parlux dryer more now.

You need a Parlux but they are much cheaper elsewhere than Amazon. I got the red one for £55 inc delivery on line.

I love my parlux. Literally dries my hair in a quarter of the time. It can get very hot though so you have to be careful not to damage your hair.

ok will go check out other sites for this magical hairdryer.

I've got an ETI professional dryer, it was about £30 IIRC from ebay. I don't suppose it's quite the quality of parlux but since it only gets used three times a week hopefully it will last the course. I figured better a cheap salon dryer than an expensive but feeble domestic one.

Whiteworm · 21/07/2012 22:59

ETI here too. I will never go back to a non professional hair dryer again. I use mine daily and lasts about 4 years. Makes a massive difference. I have a lot of hair as opposed to thick, with a frizz and a curl. Hair dressers always comment on how long my hair takes to dry. It is very fast. When my mum or friends have used it they comment on how fast it is compared to their average dryer like Babyliss etc. Parlux are good too, but ETI is cheaper.
