my ds is 12 weeks and is almost out of 6-9month clothes, he is huge. its costing me a fortune trying to keep up. eg, thought i would be really organised and buy in advance, i now have a pile of clothing that wont fit him in the summer. D'oh :)

ladybird are quite big size wise - if i was you i would buy second hand because they grow so fast and it costs a fortune to keep up!

Mazzystar · 03/03/2006 09:47

i've got a sturdy wee lad too!

i think that tesco sizes are quite generous. boden and monsoon too but ££££!!! but they do wash and last well. don't really "do" next but the bits that we've been given as presents also seem reasonably big.

LIZS · 03/03/2006 09:48

tesco, debenhams and m and s used to be pretty generous.

PiccadillyCircus · 03/03/2006 09:48

I've found tesco quite big, some next big although some small. I've found monsoon are very small.

Piffle · 03/03/2006 09:54

australasian brands are generous
pumpkin patch etc
I think H+M stuff is huge, I had a really small baby and their stuff was humungous on her
I also had a really large ds and used pumpkin patch for him, still do and hes 12!

generaldogsbody1 · 03/03/2006 09:56

we have a great baby life shop near us, however, some bugger must go in 5 mins before me and buys up all th sizes i'm after lol.

I find Adams clothes really generous, and mini mode at Boots(quite reasonable prices too).

Also have you got a Primark near you? Some of their stuff I know is awful, but you do find the odd outfit or 2 that's really nice, their sizes are pretty big, and price wise you definitely can't moan!

Tommy · 03/03/2006 10:20

take the clothes that don't fit him back and change them for bigger sizes - most shops are very hapopy to do that with baby clothes even id you don't have receipt.
Another vote for Pumpkin Patch here. DS2 is 4 but wears age 5-6 in most shops except Patch

And I left Wgtn for UK in 1997.

blueteddy · 03/03/2006 15:34

I always find Next come up big, as do Tesco & Boden.

starlover · 03/03/2006 15:34

tesco is very big!

i have a cloth bottom baby so have to find bigger clothes to go over nappies and would say stay away from next, mothercare (trousers) and boots

btw.. is there anything particular you need? I may have some stuff to sell!

M&S is huge IMO. My 8 yo ds2 is still wearing age 6 trousers and my 3 yo ds3 is just into 18-24 months clothes from there.
