best bras for empty boobs?

madmomma · 12/07/2012 18:42

Am an E cup but they're totally flat + empty :( So in bras, they sink to the bottom of the cup and the top is all withered looking.

I go for fittings at selfridges but now my boobs have changed shape after dc3 and none of their styles seems to do anything for me.

Any recommendations?

Watching this thread with interest (whilst clutching my own pair of spaniel's ears)

Try Freya retro half cup (discontinued but still available) or try Freya Lauren - only bras that fit me post kids ( I'm a 32DD/E) and I have tried 100+bras John Lewis, M&S, Debenhams and a couple fo independents couldn't fit me................it did nothing for my ego but the Freya bras give me boobs and cleavage!!! Might be worth trying Triumph Amourette too

madmomma · 12/07/2012 18:55

thanks - off to google Smile

I'm a DD, but they are two tennis balls in socks. I went on a mission a couple of years ago to find a decent bra and tried on loads of different brands from M&S to Freya, Triumph and everything in between. My favourite, and the ones I always wear now are the Panache Superbra's. They come on various styles, but the plain t-shirt ones are the best for making my boobs look normal.

QuinnFabray · 12/07/2012 19:07

I find a full cup much more flattering than other styles.

whatinthewhatnow · 12/07/2012 19:10

watching. My boobs look like the back of an envelope.

Hi madmomma. I was just recently in Victoria's secret in Canada trying on bras and their service was really good - they stayed with me and made sure that I had the right style and exactly the right size for what I wanted - also have no idea of what I needed due to having my daughter. I landed up getting a dream angels bra which provided the right amount of support as opposed to some of the others which were more flimsy. They are opening in London this year - was meant to be end of July but think it may have been pushed back. I will let you know if I can find out what the confirmed date is.

madmomma · 12/07/2012 19:16

bandersnatchdo you find that website fairly reliable? Thank you ladies, and yes I will definitely report back. Am sitting here with a flaccid, deflated tit in each armpit wondering where it all went wrong SadGrin

Any recommendations for a good multiway bra to go under a halter neck dress?

Needs to have the staying power and support of scaffolding with cups the size of half footballs :O

So basically, a 34/36GG halter neck/multiway bra??

Otherwise, does anyone know if tit tape works at all??

monkeysmama · 12/07/2012 19:23

I have this problem having bf for years. I wear Freya Decos usually. I'm enjoying them being full again as am heavily pg but they're so droopy I don't want to imagine what they'll be like after.

Babylon, IME, tit tape is only useful for sticking your clothes to you, to stop your scaffolding bra showing. It won't magically hold up floppy bosoms (like mine).

sleepdodger · 12/07/2012 19:32

Freya deco from bravissimo well fitted made my tennis ball in socks boobs look post boob job in terms of shape after not pammy anderson

gingerwench · 12/07/2012 19:46

Another vote for panache moulded tshirt bra i am a 32 F

QueenCadbury · 12/07/2012 20:31

Yep, the panache superbra/t shirt bra is the only thing that gives me shape.

madmomma · 12/07/2012 21:15

Just googled the panache bras - they look great. Where stocks them so I can try on for size?

Ok, not doing links (too tired) but here's my usual list.

Freya Deco

Panache- Tango, Andorra, Porcelain balconette (or plunge if your boobs are not completely deflated), Melody (either style).

Cleo (part of Panache) Juna, Lucy.

Any padded Curvy Kate style if you don't mind jiggle at the top.

If your boobs are really soft, plunge styles tend to tilt them towards the centre, leaving gaps and wrinkling at the top of the cup. All the styles I've listed hold/push from underneath and have enough depth in the centre to avoid slipping out.

Feel free to ask if you want to know more Smile

marriednotdead · 12/07/2012 22:42

Babylon1 try this Fantasie strapless

Babylon1 · 12/07/2012 22:56

Thank you, the figleaves one is on order Wink

lurkingaround · 14/07/2012 16:30

I am one of those shallow women.......30F but shallow shallow.....

I went shopping in House of Fraser today, got a fantastic sales assistant, tried about a million styles and ended up with this Fantasie one. Yes, it's moulded, which has never fitted me before, but it is a v good fit and a v good t-shirt bra. But desperately unsexy. Having said that i'm v pleased. I also tried to find a decent fitting not-as-unsexy-as-that bra but failed. The quest continues.

marriednotdead · 14/07/2012 22:12

lurkingaround If you got that one in a 30F, you'll probably need a FF in most other styles. I'd also suggest trying everything on my list above except the Porcelain, plus half cup styles like Bravissimo Tanzania and Rococco Charm.

lurkingaround · 15/07/2012 20:22

Thanks married, I tried a few nice ones in Freya, 30FF, but none were a great fit, if you get me. Will def try your recommendations. Thanks. I cannot believe I'm 30FF!
