Where to buy schoolbags which are big enough but not too big and won't fall to pieces in 5 mins?

Oh, and suitable for Reception aged children? The little Peppa Pig/Minnie Mouse bags will probably be too small given that our four year old's get book sacks containing books and games, as well as library books. Is there anywhere to buy something girly for a four year old - they really want Peppa and Minnie bags but I can't find them any bigger than 30 x 40 cm.

Thanks Smile

ime story sacks are too big to put into a school bag, and need to be carried separately anyway, and they only get them once a fortnight or so.

school my DC went to had reading folders to buy through the school, big enough for couple of books, letters, sunhat/gloves/spare knicks - and fits in their drawer - packed lunch was stored separately.

so what I am saying is, small peppa bag will probably be ok :)

or, buy the size of bag you want, and keychains and iron/sew on motifs in the character she likes to decorate it!

40 by 30cm is not small anyway. I don't see how you could realistically expect a reception child to manage something bigger than that - their little back just wouldn't have enough length/surface area for it.

our school doesn't like lower school pupils to use backpacks cause of the back issue. We use book folder and seperate lunch box.
