Do you use handcream shortly before you apply it? Or have naturally oily skin ?
If your nails are slightly oily it won't stick.
Try washing your hands with a non moisturising soap & wiping over the nails with a little bit of varnish remover before you apply the first coat.
Using a base coat will help too, and a topcoat after the varnish.

Agree with previous poster - use top & base coat. Also apply two or three thin coats to build up the colour, not one thick coat. You could also try 'sealing' the top of the nail by painting a thin horizontal line along the very edge of the top of each nail after polishing and before top coat. Wear rubber gloves when cleaning/washing up; wear gardening gloves when gardening. Rub on nail/cuticle oil every night.

Mine used to always peel off. No problem since I started using Seche Vite top coat - can buy it on ebay for about a fiver.

Also agree with other posters - rubber gloves, base coat, and quick slick of nail varnish remover over each nail before you apply base coat to get rid of any residual oil/cream

Mine peels - I use Nail Envy as a base coat, two thin colour coats and Seche Vite as a topcoat. I suspect it is the Nail Envy, as it also does it when I am wearing it on it's own. I always wipe with remover first. Sealing the ends doesn't work either, the ends wear away within a day.

I think it is worse if I have buffed my nails, makes sense that a smoother surface would allow the polish to peel off more easily, so I keep buffing to a minimum now.

Deffo need a base coat - 'Fill the Gap' by Essie is brilliant, if a little pricey at around £11. Top coat also necessary - 'Good to Go' by Essie is super but I'd be interested to try Seche Vite.
