Bombastic, well done. I hope they are hearing this. And the comments that were on the DM online too.

notjustamummythankyou · 15/07/2012 07:54

I hope m&s read this. If only to save a fortune in focus group costs!

nkf · 15/07/2012 07:57

Seriously horrible clothes in those links.

BombasticAghast · 18/07/2012 06:42

Update - M and S on their contact page say they will reply within 24 hours ....nearly 4 days later they still haven't replied.

When the leather cracked on dh's shoes after 3 weeks wear - he only wore them to he office - they told me that the shoes were not faulty that was just what leather did and they would replace them as a gesture of good will but would not give me a refund - its funny they used the term good will because since they behaved like that I feel no good will towards them.

Clearly things are getting bad but you can't start shitting on your customers to save money because they just stop spending it in your shop.

Zhaghzhagh · 18/07/2012 08:35

I returned socks which I'd worn once - one of them kept falling down. The sales assistant told me I didn't know how to wear socks! She said I should have been wearing them folded down over boots or over trousers. What a lot of rubbish. I ended up having to ask for a supervisor - who sorted things out - however having a shop assistant argue with you is not a pleasant experience. Never used to happen in M & S.

I only buy their underwear occasionally now because the quality has gone downhill so much. Never even look at their clothes now because their stores are in such a mess it's offputting.

Fair dos to M&S, I bought a cashmere sweater last autumn which shrunk beyond recognition on it's first wash (and yes, I did follow the instructions). Took it back and was refunded the full amount (even thought it was on sale) without a receipt, no questions asked. Shame I then had to take my money to Uniqlo where I bought one which has washed and worn beautifully!

KandyBarr · 18/07/2012 09:39

An M&S parcel has just arrived with school uniform items for DSs, with a cheeky sale item slipped in for me - this Autograph navy shirt dress.

It's the first time I've bought anything from M&S in yonks, but the dress was recommended, reduced, it's lined and for £25 it's a cracker, actually.

SickOnMyShoulder · 18/07/2012 20:29

If by any chance M&S, or any other large retailer is reading this, I'd love to see hood with coats in your Autumn collection. Some bum length, some longer, in navy, black, red, other colours, etc, and fitted please. Waterproof would be a bonus. Cheers. Sickonmyshoulder.

SickOnMyShoulder · 18/07/2012 20:29

Coats with hoods, even. Blush

clayfeet · 19/07/2012 07:27

Ty to tights. I have m & s tights I've had for years but all the ones I bought this year ladder or pulled or grazed within a couple of wears. I pay more for your tights so they don't do this. Switched to john Lewis now.

Methe · 19/07/2012 07:50

Their girls cloths have been hideous this year too, all foul prints and cheap fabric. I've not found one thing worthy of spending my money on. The only children's wear m&s always seem to get right is nightwear.

They definitely need to sack their design team.
