Two questions, and embarrassing photos for you all to snoop at...

Photos on profile.

Question 1: What do you think of the potential new haircut created with one of those virtual hairstyle wotsits? I have very long hair atm, going for a cut on Friday and want to keep the length but want to avoid the scraped back look (as in before photo) as that's what I always end up doing, no matter the good intentions.

Question 2: What make up to I need to buy to wear with the dress? I only have the same lipstick/eye shadow/foundation/bronzer that I've been wearing for the last 4 years. They suit my colouring but are on the brown/neutral side, and I think maybe I need something fresher and pinker to go with the dress? I have absolutely no idea where to go or what to buy. It's for a ball this weekend and the budget is not great.

I hope the offering up of photos to snoop at leave you inclined to help Grin

what about this with a fringe?

wem · 09/07/2012 18:18

That's lovely too. I think I could do sleek, easier than styling care-free curls :)

I think you have a very pretty face, and with the new haircut, you`re going to look great ...

Makeup wise ... here are a couple of ideas:

Put up a pic when you are all ready? Pleeease? (I have vomiting children at the moment so the idea of going out to a ball is just lovely ...)

Sloobreeus · 09/07/2012 18:58

Wem, difficult to advise on the hair but I would avoid the heavy fringe. Those cakes, though! You are a star!!

toastandmarmiterocks · 09/07/2012 19:10

what is this virtual hairstyle wotsit thingy of which you talk???? I can feel an evening of new hairstyles coming on...

Charliefox · 09/07/2012 19:35

cakes look amazing!!!

I think fringe way too heavy and that your face looks much nicer being able to see face rather than hiding it behind hair.

Could you get hair done into a nice up-do on the day of the ball?

wem · 13/07/2012 14:22

ok, so I ignored you all and got a pretty heavy fringe Grin

I waffled at the hairdresser and she said she thought it would look good, so I went for it. Picture on profile, though before pic is gone. I'm pretty happy with the result. She curled it a bit for the ball, so will have to wait and see what it looks like when I have to style it myself! I now have to pack up and drive a couple of hours before getting ready at the hotel for the ball so hopefully it'll still look vaguely wavy by the time it starts! I didn't get a chance to look at new make up in the end so the old familiar will have to do :)

Wow! You look gorgeous! It's nothing like the helmet hair in the original pic Wink

I love fringes Smile

MaisieM · 13/07/2012 14:38

You look lovely. Have a great time.

hellymelly · 13/07/2012 14:50

You do look lovely! I think the fringe is short enough that it shows off your eyes rather than swamping them. Really suits you.

valiumredhead · 13/07/2012 16:18

You look lovely!

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 13/07/2012 16:30

That is my dream hair Envy but my hair is too thin for a fringe and am too lazy for styling . Am very jealous, think it looks lovely. As do you cakes :o

kizzie · 15/07/2012 22:28

You look really lovely Smile

And Im very excited because I was just looking for one of those sites where you can try out hairstyles !

faustina · 16/07/2012 08:22

oh I missed the photo! Glad it worked out in the end though
