Can you recommend me a moisturiser?

My beauty routine has been sadly lacking to date, but I'm intent on making improvements. After spending too much time on MN I've bought Liz Earle C&P and really line it. Next thing I need is a moisturiser, but no idea what to buy.... What would you recommend?

  • mid 30s
  • oily / combination skin
  • spot prone at times
  • budget? probably premium brand eg Clinique, Clarins type price

Thanks

elemis pro collagen marine cream
decleor hydra floral

both are lovely (and you can order from QVC and return within 30 days for a refund of you don't like them)

also gatineau is nice - I used it in my 30's

We've probably got similar skin - I'm 32, still get spots sometimes and have oily/combo skin.

Estee Lauder Daywear is lush - smells gorgeous, doesn't aggravate my skin (or block my pores & give me blackheads), is light and absorbs quickly. It's a great base for makeup too. I luffs it - never found a moisturiser that didn't make me break out in blackheads before other than 'spot treatment' type stuff like Clean & Clear. It's nice to find a luxury product that works for combination skin.

I also really like Clinique Total Turnaround (albeit not a moisturiser) as a makeup base or a night treatment.

I've got similar skin. I used to like Clinique Dramatically Different gel, but it started to bring me out (or at least stop me breaking out, IYSWIM) in spots on my chin. I'm currently using cheap as chips Nivea and it seems to be working ok....

Emsyj - I like the sound of the Estee Lauder Daywear.... I've previously used Clinique Dramatically Different, but never really liked it.

Is it this one

If so, it's quite expensive - eek! How long does a pot like this last? TBH, I was thinking more around the £20-25 price range, but prepared to give it a shot if it's fab Grin

I don't like the Clinique DD either - yes that's the one! I got a sample pot in a bonus time which I think was 10 or 15ml and that lasted maybe 6 weeks? I'm going to buy it next time John Lewis have bonus time (or I might give in and buy it next week as I am desperate and it's amazing Blush).

I would be banking on a 50ml pot like that one to last at least 4 months with sparing daily use.

Splurge complete! Just ordered it from
John Lewis along with another of Liz Earle C&P. Free delivery for spending over £50 - bargain Hmm

Thanks all
Wink
