I am looking for a pair of comfortable trainers or walking boots but do not know where to begin looking!
I did buy a pair of Nike Trainers but the balls of my feet burn after I have walked in them for 30 minutes.
Maximum i can spend is £50 ish
Can anyone recommend or link to any really comfortable ones.
Cheers :-)

I think you'll need to go into a store and try, the best pair are the ones that fit you :) It is worth spending a bit of time going around several places. I have wide feet tho and find shoes hard to buy.

Wear the type of socks that you intend to wear with them! Many places will have a pair of walking socks you can borrow, if you dare ;) It'd be worth investing in appropriate socks anyway, they'll have all the right padding in all the right places. If you're mainly doing fitness walks then the thinner, lighter walking socks will do.

If the store have a little slope thing, stand on it with the shoes on, up and down, to check how much your foot moves. Your foot shouldn't be sliding forward so your toes are cramped.

Walking boots are good if you're doing rocky, very uneven or steep inclines. You need the ankle support. If you're mainly doing country paths and roads you'd be better off going for what are sometimes called trail or approach shoes.

I have these for trail walking, or doing an hour or so on roads.

Some Brashers similar to these

for more rugged conditions. They've lasted me many hundreds of miles so far :)

Amazon have some walking shoes at good prices. I got some Karrimor shoes which are really comfy, though I do more urban than rugged walking. You can also get an extra 20% off code if you sign up to the Amazon clothing emails.

Thank you for your replies.
Think I need a trip to GO Outdoors this weekend and there is 20% off so sure to find something there. Just did not want to waste my cash on another pair of unsuitable trainers.
