Best primer?

The title says it all really... I'm going to do my own wedding make up and need it to last. What's the best primer around? If anyone has foundation / concealer suggestions they'd also be helpful. Thanks.

Glamour magazine had an offer on I think this month's issue with a trial size of the Benefit primer which may still be available in shops. Is ok although I use more as a highlighter than primer. Heard somewhere else on here that someone has used Sudocrem as a primer.

I really like Benefit's Boing concealer and have been using this for a few years now. Works well for me. Also love their blushers/bronzers.

Mac are pretty good otherwise and like most make up counters, will do a make over to give you ideas with the price paid then redeemable on their products.

There is a thread still around in style and beauty called wedding day make up or something similar with loads of good primer suggestions including one from one of the posters who is a make up artist, smashbox always seem to get good reviews, personally I've tried no 7 no shine primer and didn't rate it, currently using revlon and it's nothing special. Might have to start googling smashbox ones myself!

Really? I'll go try to track down that thread. Thanks.

I've got the Benefit primer but I find it good for radiance rather than longevity. Also have a No7 one, but it makes my skin look an odd colour!

I am not using sudocrem as a primer on my wedding day!

Thanks Thanks

I like Laura Mercier, used it for my wedding.

Laura Mercier fan here too, although at the moment I am using Trish McEvoy which is ££ but really nice.

I used Laura Mercier for my wedding too and it lasted really well

I've never heard of Laura Mercier Blush

Where will I find that?

John Lewis, House of Fraser, SpaceNK.

Thank you. Will check out local Small Town House of Fraser but suspect i'll need to go to Birmingham to get it ( oh the hardship!)
