So DC3 is due soon - DC2 is 18 months, I will need a bag big enough for 2 x of clothes, nappies etc - I plan on BF so bottle holders not what Im after

What should I be looking for?
In the past Ive always made do with crap bags that Ive hated and hardly used, boots free ones etc and ive ruined some lovely leather radley bags with bottles of milk or exploding nappies Hmm

I have the £ to buy my self some thing nice, tempt me away from Cath Kidston please...

For size and sturdyness, I love my oioi hobo bag. Some of the patters are very full on (which I quite like) but they have plainer ones too if that's your thing.

I have this one

but if I were buying one now I'd go for this. ANd if you like CK you might prefer this but that style looks a bit smaller than mine. Mine is GREAT - you can fit EVERYTHING in it. I bought it when I had dc2 on the way, 2 yrs between them, and using cloth nappies, so I needed the space!

FannyFifer · 27/06/2012 23:17

I have a yellow leather oioi hobo bag, it's fab.

saladcravings · 27/06/2012 23:18

Of if you have the ££ and prefer leather...

I love my jujube BFF it's great because you can also wear it as a rucksack. Handy if you need to be hands free.

My bababing is great, and washable for disasters involving milk! Grin

openerofjars · 27/06/2012 23:52

I have an older version of this in a different pattern and it is fabulous. Mind you, I got it a lot cheaper in the sale!

saladcravings · 27/06/2012 23:57

ouch at the price of that one!

MrsFaffnBobbocks · 28/06/2012 00:05

I have a red leather Lin and Leo. Looks great (discrete - def doesn't scream nappy bag). Lots of space and several pockets for all sorts of items. Downside is I find it a touch heavy when full....but beats some others on cost for an expensive looking change bag

Frakiosaurus · 28/06/2012 00:10

Storksak all the way.

openerofjars · 28/06/2012 01:12

Like I said, I got it a lot cheaper, less than half price and now I live on Netto beans . Grin

saladcravings · 28/06/2012 07:31

Ah, well done for finding a bargain then! My Oioi was on offer, 3 yrs ago when I bought it.

I have just bought a babymel amanda chaninging bag because it was half price in Mothercare Blush. But my excuse is I am having my last ever baby in a few weeks, it's the first girl, and I wanted a smaller bag - that was girly!

NotInGuatemalaNowDrRopata · 28/06/2012 07:50

If you want the absolute dog's in nappy bags, have a look at Sugarjack. Gorgeous.

I've got the Orla Kiely (also purchased half price in their sale), but I would have to say that my favourite is the Fleurville swing tote, as said above by someone else. I've got the turquoise one.

I've had a few bags and the Fleurville was roomy without looking it and had a nice design, it was also nice to carry something that is a bit unusual.

For function, the skiphop tote was quite good, but not pretty.

DonaAna · 28/06/2012 08:44

I have a Storksak Emily in purple leather and it's a good casual work bag and in-flight bag after your children are past the nappy age (time goes so fast - mine are 2 and 4 and I don't need a changing bag any more).

monkeysmama · 28/06/2012 08:54

I've had loads and the only one that really works for me is this Babymel Tool Bag The way it fastens to the pram means its really easy to see things & to get stuff out while on the move. Loads of pockets. I use the bottle pockets at the side for my stuff.

I have an OiOi Hobo too but didn't find it anywhere near as useful.

Graciescotland · 28/06/2012 08:57

Kipling nursery bag is indestructible, practical and lovely.

ElizaDoMore · 28/06/2012 10:48

I had a Storksak Suzi in taupe and I loved it!

wheresthepopcorn · 28/06/2012 15:56

I have a Storksak Nina www.johnlewis.com/231334295/Product.aspx

Foshizzle · 28/06/2012 16:04

I love my Lin & Leo. It was an extravagance, when I was earning ££, it is like a suitcase and since getting rid of my enormous pram I now have no space in the basket for it but it remains a thing of beauty...

blossoming · 28/06/2012 16:45

il tutto. But the teddy has to go.
Bought mine when I had two in nappies.

GobblersKnob · 28/06/2012 16:51

I was going to say Kipling too, Javari have them cheap, but you need to like orange.

The Defea or the Erasto are also plenty big enough. The Erasto is (I think) 20 litres and the Defea 11.

I love Kipling bags.

NotInGuatemalaNowDrRopata · 28/06/2012 17:43

Orla Kiely sale started today, so those changing bags mentioned above are now £85.
