When you see a damaged but reduced version of something does it make you think twice about buying the product in perfect condition?

I saw a bag that was damaged by a well known brnad that had some damage to one of its main design features.

It wasn't reduced by that much but it made me think about would I buy the perfect but full priced item just in case some similar damage occured due to ,well, life.

I am very fussy when it comes to bags so it would bother me. I think it's different if you damage it yourself.
I could cope with minor wear in a used bag from eBay for example. But if it was a designer high end bag I would want it to be perfect.

It was a Radley and to be fair it was nice and possibly fixable but I just couldn't take the chance that it wasn't.

I think you did the right thing. Radley have a sale on just now in case there is anything you like there?

I am not really a Radley girl but felt like treating myself. I still have 2 Mulberry bags to have repaired.

Yes, if it looks like it could be a design fault or if it might wear badly
