Please, please help me. I need the comfort of these with the elegance of these for a city break where I can pretend I'm the sassy, elegant, chic woman I can only fantasise about being?

Mmm, well next sole survivor are allegedly the comfiest shoes going (I've not tried them myself) they have a deep, soft, squashy foot bead and apparently are generally A Good Fit. If the second link is your idea of sassy, elegant and chic then how about these, these, these or these?

Oh dear Procrastination - am sensing you don't love my Tods! I think I am Audrey Hepburn in a pair of cropped, elegant trousers and Tods to match. I am 47 and don't live in England but abroad where we are possibly less high fashion and more classic, understated style. Thanks for the sole survivor tip though.

Have you looked at geox? I have some amazingly comfortable geox loafers with those holes in the sole that help your foot breathe instead of becoming a sweaty, boggy, smelly, blister-fest. I also have some of the tod's loafers and can bear them for about half a stylish day before ripping them off and reaching for Elastoplast....

Are you in France by any chance? There are loads of geox shops here.

Life would be very dull if we all liked the same things Wink

Geox can be comfortable, although some of the styles may be a bit oldish

John lewis have some

I had some before, but found them on the narrow side for my feet.
