I'm a 14 and am pretty sure I always will be - how do I dress confidently?

Kind of given up now thinking I will ever be smaller, I've tried and failed so many times. During periods of trying to lose weight, I've basically worn jeans and baggy tops, thinking I'd work on style and looking good once the weight had gone.

But I honestly don't think the weight will go now - so how do you dress to look good for your size? I see so many larger women who look fabulous but I can't seem to do it myself. Does anyone have any ideas or tips please?

IKnee high boots would be fine. For some reason I was imagining like Doc Martens or something.

I wear a lot of vintage dresses (cut for 'real' women in the literal sense as a lot are handmade). I like Zara for chinos, blouses, slouchy jumpers. H&M, Primark for layers (vests, basic long sleeved tshirts etc). No shops in particular, a lot of mooching in charity shops and TKMaxx. I wasnt always fabulous, something kicked in one day and I've never looked back. Still have hoody & rancid trackie bums days too, though!

I always wear chunky jewellery and/or scarves, and totally agree with the 'grooming'. Good haircut, nails and makeup. I can't 'do' high heels but have a disgustingly large collection of slightly outrageous mid-heels from all over the place.

And to all you doubters on the skirt/boots combo, "PAH!"

No, I'm a bit old for that! Have done mid calf but only when v casual. I guess by chunky I meant not stilettos or anything delicate- solid boots to balance out a bigger body.
