Is it actually possible to find a mascara that CURLS your lashes?

I have very long lashes, but they make my eyes look smaller because I cannot bloody get them to hold a curl!

The only thing that has ever worked is using Shiseido The Base before I apply mascara. However I'm on a student budget and cannot afford the price tag?

Any reccs?

So I have a heated curler and clear mascara on the way, just need to pick a mascara. I looked at some of the ones mentioned here, but because of the currency exchange I can't justify it after being so greedy last night lol.

I was disappointed with No.7 mascara -i wouldn't buy it again ( that's the real test)
