As above really and seeking advice...

hair is fine (though have quite a lot of it), highlighted and very tangly. Ive always kept it manageable with decent products; redken, kerastase type things but at the moment it just looks awful; frizzy, wispy and not holding colour well (goes brassy quickly), am supposed to be getting more highlights pre wedding. Have 'hi-lift' color as opposed to bleach but not sure a) what it is really or b) if its actually worse than bleach. I'm realistic enough to know I'm not going to get supermodel style tresses in that time but any miracle products you know of please tell me (oh and it gets weighed down easily so cant be too 'heavy' iyswim) Thankyou.

Have you tried using special shampoo with a purple tint in it to stop it from going brassy?

It's been a while since I was blonde, but I used this shampoo which was great and really toned down the brassiness. Only use it once or twice a week, otherwise it will turn your hair slightly purple (as I discovered when I ran out of my normal shampoo and used this stuff for 2 weeks running!)

At one point I was using the Kerastase masque treatment (I think they recommend using it once a week) as my everyday conditioner - expensive, but worth it. I found the tresemme masque treatment (again, they recommend using it once a week) as my everyday conditioner a good option - fair bit cheaper than Kerastase too! Grin

This advice is based on my haircare routine following the disastrous outcome of the hairdresser leaving bleach on my hair for an hour... I no longer dye my hair!

Have you tried a Brazilian blow dry? Basically a keratin hair mask which you can get ironed in at a salon or try the DIY version (I have used a keratin kit from amazon) They are great for calming down and conditioning your hair, you need to use salt free shampoo afterwards or it washes off (which you can obv do if you don't like it)
You have it done straight after colouring but no point doing it before as the colour washes the keratin stuff off. Anyway will sort the frizz
Good luck

ooh the brazilian blow dry sounds good. does it take the curl out of your hair though?
