Will be going shopping this week, but need ideas and inspiration from you wonderful S&B-ers.

Im 5'3, size 12/14 post baby. Usually would have worn skinnyish dark jeans, a black (naice) vest and a little grey jacket (like a casual blazer) with high heels. However, the grey jacket is now relegated until I can shift the baby weight.

I would wear a dress, but it would need to be with opaques as I cant abide my knees, and I need to have the tops of my arms covered.

What can you suggest, open to any and all ideas!

Oh, and am 27, looking to spend £50 on outift (excluding shoes and accessories as thankfully these havent been outgrown post-baby).

I usually wear navy blue / teal / grey / white / black.

Have a look at Oasis dresses - they're doing some really nice ones this season and plenty will cover tops of arms. And they're not ridiculously short like many high street dresses.

Difficult to give you more help without knowing your taste - maybe post a few links to things you like but which aren't quite right, and we can suggest similar/better versions? Have a good night!

And black opaques go with EVERYTHING so no worries there :)

Im not a big dress-wearer so as a rule tend to feel really overdressed in them (except at weddings etc) so if I do wear a dress is usually for a posh event and would ear something like this which obviously is too dressy for a night in town.

Then I see people looking great in dresses on a night out and think "why can't I manage to wear a not-dressy dress on a night out?" and look down at my failsafe jeans and nice top combo.

If you want to make a dress less dressy, you just have to wear it with flats, boots, opaques, cardi, jacket, belt etc... Most dresses can be dressed down that way. I think your best bet for your age and budget (which are pretty much the same as mine!) are Topshop, Oasis and Dorothy Perkins, with Topshop being my absolute favourite :)

Btw I didn't mean wear it with all those things at once!

What about a skater dress? That would cover your arms and not be too dressy, and flattering on post-baby tummy: TS skater dresses

Hahaa, Id be a walking clothes horse!

I bought this today, which I am hoping beyond hope will be ok when worn with opaques.

I love it Gnocchi, glad you found something. It will look great with opaques.
