Normally go away in cooler seasons but this year are taking the DC to the Balearics in late July/Aug.

Have used Ultrasun Family spf 30 (once a day) for a few years and have been really pleased. As it's probably going to be scorchio, will need to top up with a standard suncream in a'noon also.

I have Nivea Kids 30+ but I've heard it's not that reliable nor good for sensitive skin (dd1 gets mild eczema). Any recommendations would be most welcome. I particularly want one that's easy to apply. Ta everso.

I have very sensitive skin/eczema/nut allergy so struggle with sun cream but tried boots soltan sensitive spray factor 30 last week when the hot weather arrived and was very impressed. I patch tested one day and then used all over chest arms legs and had no problems at oil. Contains grape oil as the moisturiser so ticks a box for me as so many firms use nut oils which causes me huge problems!

Try and get a physical sunblock. Neutrogena does a great "baby" one that I use myself and my DS and I have the most sensitive skin of all time and it is completely fine. Nice to know you aren't loading your kids skin full of chemicals too.

The only suncream that i use on myself and dd's without getting a rash is Piz Buin Allergy suncream. It is great, smells nice and is not sticky on your skin.

I used Ultrasun 50 on DS in August in Greece 2 years ago (he was 6) and it lasted the whole day - no need for top up. The weather was over 100 degrees most days.

Try garnier spf 50?

Simple range . SPF 30. One of the only ones with 5 star UVA ratings which is better than a higher SPF ( most people don't realise this!) UVA stops the sun getting into skin where as SPF only stops you burning but lets harmfuls rays in ( ie a factor 50 with only 2 star UVA is 100 times worse than factor 30 with 5 star UVA). Does any of that make sense?

We have returned a few days ago from Greece and the simple range rubs in really well and has good water resistance ( if in and out pool). Generally applied once am and one in afternoon ( avoiding sun between 12-3/4), is easy to avoid by the time lunched and napped

Would also get a UVA suit for swimming/ running around as protects torso, top of arms and legs. Children under 3 are supposed to actually have min lotions applied so is better if you can cover areas and easier for you ( just have bottom of arms/ legs and face to do
