nose hair?

Right, I have dark hairs in my nose. Not like my dad, but you can see them. especially when I smile - I have stumpy eyelashes, perhaps they have been swapped or something.

I pluck them but they grow back or are in unreachable places and it's not always feasable etc etc.

Do YOU have nose hair? What do you do?

dh uses a nose hair trimmer

munchymonster · 01/06/2012 23:47

but can you see the stubble? I think I have especially curvy nostrils so stubble would show - have dark dark hair and v pale skin.

I dont notice stubble, just when the hairs are poking out his nostrils!

Dollydowser · 02/06/2012 16:22

I know a lady who does sugaring, and she sugars her own nose hairs. May last a little bit longer than plucking?

cocolepew · 02/06/2012 16:23

Nose trimmer im very pale with dark hair as well.

NettoSuperstar · 02/06/2012 16:27

JML beauty trimmer.
I have a huge nose and nostrils, and nose hair.
I sometimes think I am Mr TwitSad

piratecat · 02/06/2012 16:36

haha @ mrtwit.

i was thinking of posting this very thing the other day. i have natually almost black hair, and olive skinned. I have my dad's nose hair. I swear it's got worse as i have got older.
I do pluck any that are starting to stick out, boy my god does it hurt, i almost cry!
I saw a bloke on tv have a lump of hair removing wax stuffed in his nostril, then yanked out. It worked!! do you think they do this at salons, i would be more embarrassed to ask for that than a brazilian!!

NettoSuperstar · 02/06/2012 17:02

I'm also on steroids for my asthma, so my face is really swollen. I look like what would happen if Mr Twit and an Easter Island statue mated.
All I need now is a beard.

munchymonster · 02/06/2012 17:04

I have tried the wax up the nose thing! I did it myself with that microwave wax stuff. It didn't work very well though.

nose hair trimmers seem to be the best bet, thankyou!

I think I'm in denial. I know they're there, I just hope no one else can see them. Once I start it's yet another thing to add to the long list of beauty upkeep requirements fucking hell why do I bother waxing my fanjo and armpits that no one sees when I've got nose hairs poking out waving at all and sundry?

I don't like this thread because it's going to make me start plucking them

SunshineOutdoors · 02/06/2012 19:14

my husband does actually see my fanjo so no one was a lie

Pelicano · 02/06/2012 19:43

Depends on the shape of your nose, but I only recently realised that mine were on display. I pluck.

piratecat · 02/06/2012 22:20

haha, netto!

yes thats the problem, you have to keep at them if you start.

by god it stings.

ZuzuBailey · 02/06/2012 22:24

God, how can you pluck?! It's so painful.

I'm another one with a JML trimmer - does anyone really use it for their eyebrows? Grin

Pelicano · 02/06/2012 22:37

Pain, yes, but only minor fleeting tear inducing.
I may be about two decades behind in the epilation stakes (brazilian) but I'm thinking facial is a no-go-er.

bonzo77 · 02/06/2012 22:40

i once went to a beautician who used hot wax (the sort you use without fabric strips). She described how she would drip the wax into the nostril while the client reclined, and leave a sort of tag sticking up. once it had cooled she would rip it out. I never had it done, but sounds like a great plan.

my nose hair has really taken off since pregnant, and am tweezing it, but it seems to hurt more than it used to.

ZuzuBailey · 03/06/2012 12:28

Pain, yes, but only minor fleeting tear inducing.

Not with my nose hair unfortunately. It would take about half an hour's plucking Sad

Eek, don't fancy the waxing either! My trimmer does the job quickly and painlessly and lasts about a week, so not bad at all.
