The best curlers?

Can anyone suggest the best curlers for my hair. My hair is very fine and very straight but there's a lot of it. I have a big hair styler which I love as it gives me a professionally blowdried look but what I really want is volume at the roots. Curlers are the best for this aren't they? The last time I tried curlers there was a velcro situation and much tanglement.

What can I do in my quest for big hair?

in terms of actual curlers, the best are the babyliss ceramic ones (as recommended by Sali Hughes).
I have them, used them 3 times, then cut my hair v short, so was going to ebay them if you're interested?

Enrapture extremity rollers are expensive but they work! Heated core and clamp make lush curls that stay all day! Even on my fine hair

I use both babylis ceramic heated curlers and curlformers.

The curls you get from babylis are more traditional 'coiffured' look whereas curlformers are more spirally and look similar to the effect when you curl your hair with straighteners.

I like the fact with curlformers there's no heat involved as my hair can't always take it as it's fine and coloured.

I'm favouring curlformers more at the moment as I sleep in them and just whip them out in the morning. If you just want volume though you might be better just using the bigger of the heated rollers.
