Plantar fasciitis and summer shoes!

I have bad pain from it so usually wear the inner soles from my podiatrist in shoes. But I'd really like some sandals for in the heat. I've read good things about fitflops, is this because the sole is shaped like supportive inner soles? I don't want to make the pain worse. They are hugely expensive though. Does anyone know of cheaper summer sandals or shoes that are good for ppl with plantar fasciitis? I've seen some reebok fitflops that look ok, anyone tried those?
Thanks

Got lovely Gabor ones. White patent with a leather sole and are sort of flip flop shape- great support

Am a size 5/5.5 . I always get a 6 in fitflops. Ensure they are english sizes. American sizes also on shoes- u.s. 8. I have 3 pairs fitflops and 2 pairs of tjeir boots. Obviously love them!
