Anything in particular you would buy?

Not with the euro looking the way it does, has made things v expensive.

thereistheball · 01/06/2012 12:35

I would get Le Petit Marseillais shampoo, conditioner (I use their range for brown hair, 'cheveux chatains') and liquid soap, from any supermarket. If you have young DCs I would also look at Monoprix's baby/children's clothes: they aren't as cheap as UK supermarket clothes by any means, but they are stylish.
And lots of food items, but that's a different thread.

Actually the way the Euro is it has become very cheap, it now costs you about 80p to buy 1Euro, was 92p last Christmas.

Monoprix children's socks are fab, wash well, stay soft and don't bobble (much if at all).

DPAM children's clothes, very well made and reasonably priced.

Petit Bateau vests/ tank tops, teenage range fits if you are UK 6/8

I also quite like ESPRIT, and it is cheaper than UK IIRC.

PrixShock savon de Marseille laundry liquid. Fab and lasts for ages.

And an absolute fortune in any French pharmacy - Caudalie, Avene and all sorts. Plus the fun of having to guess what the products actually do if the language gets tricky.

okaidi kids clothes and sergent major, also tape al'oeil

as for adults clothing, i prefer the UK for that. Unless youre going to paris boutiques, i dont think the french are particularly imaginative

Mon Savon soap. Cheap supermarket, lovely childhood evoking smell,I stock up every time I go.

LittleBarnOwl · 01/06/2012 23:38

Bioderma Crealline micellar water, fab make up remover.

Caudalie Eau de Beaute face spritz, magic stuff, don't know how it does it but really makes skin look fresh.

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/06/2012 00:23

Have a look at my friend's blog for some inspiration. I second the Bioderma Crealine Eau Micellaire. Excellent cleanser.

thereistheball · 02/06/2012 09:17

How are you?

PrincessPinotPartyPants · 02/06/2012 17:27

In Lidl they sell a white loo cleaner called Savon du Marseille and it smells so posh and so "hotel bathroom" that I but half a dozen bottles when we go over to France. It really is wonderful and makes your bathroom smell like an expensive spa for hours.

I know, I'm all glamour Hmm :o
