Do you throw away your mascara after six months?

Is it really bad that I don't?

Well I must admit I'm with those that say there's no end date. Companies want us to buy more and try to brainwash us into thinking "use by/sell by/expiry date" stuff.

It's all rubbish. I've got some 5 year old mascaras and lots of other makeup even older.

Nope. Never had any sort of infection or anything so won't be either!

Every six years more likely..

There is no way my mascara last 6 months!

My Mum keeps hers forever, as she doesn't wear much make up and they do start to smell really stale. I guess the smell disappates after you've put them on, because I've never noticed my Mum's eyes smelling funny - it is just the stuff in the container that mings a bit.
