Fear being eaten by the 'flattering & forgiving' style monster

Say - this:
/Womens-Truffle-Magnolia-Riviera-Shirt-Dress.html]]

I see: easy bf access, covers post pregnancy pumpkin belly, classic style ....

... But I fear I should be seeing: curtain fabric, conservative style, ageing & embarrassingly Boden.

My fat little hands are clutching to my feel-good-investment stash of cash - please save me from hormonal fashion mistake.

£89! I'm 32 too & post baby & sooo not cutting edge but I sure you can do better for £89 and you're far too young for boden!

handbagCrab · 29/05/2012 18:45

I'm currently wearing this. It would pull down to bf. I'm wearing with leggings. I do not look big.

That's a nice dress handbagCrab.

notyummy · 29/05/2012 19:11

I don't usually 'do' White Stuff, but that is pretty handbag.

FootprintsInTheSnow · 30/05/2012 11:05

Would it really pull down far enough without ruining it? I've only been looking at buttons & deep V necks.

But at that nice price I think I'll mail order & check for myself. Do White company come up big or small? I've only ever bought accessories there.

It's quite low cut so you wouldn't have to pull in down much I don't think (I checked when I was posting!). But returns are free. I'm quite fat ATM so I think the sizes are probably generous :)

When I was bf I liked stretchy dresses that had a wrap style upper bit. I had a nice one from primark. I have some from h and m at the moment and from monsoon too.

FootprintsInTheSnow · 30/05/2012 11:52

Ok - so now I need to make the order up to £75 for free delivery

not sure about the print - but would this be a non- tent maxi?

this top looks faisafe verging on safe?

Pretty and easy to wear - so long as I stay indoors & only scare the cat with its see through nature.

I quite like the Boden dress in the navy or green prints, but the beige print is pretty heinous.

handbagCrab · 30/05/2012 13:56

I can't open the first link on my iPad but I love maxi dresses so ignore the haterz on here!

Your tops look nice. I'd just order loads and return if you don't like if you have cash flow. I've started doing this a lot since having Ds as its hard work traipsing round trying stuff on with a baby I think.

I think this is nice and a bit like the boden dress in blue in term of colour. Plus it has buttons down the front for easy access Grin

That is nice and low key.

Here is the maxi - but on second look the print looks even more bizare.

I'm lucky to have the cash flow - but I'm rubbish at getting organised with returns! I feel intimidated by how nice the clothes look in their little packets, and don't really feel tidy enough for anything to exit my house looking comparably fresh.

Be strict with yourself regarding returns if you don't love it return it. The online store will make it all pretty before they send it to the next customer. I put in my calendar when I must return items by although I ike to return within a week.

handbagCrab · 31/05/2012 10:11

The maxi is a lovely shape.

I've returned loads of stuff back in the bag it came in, which has been ripped open and refolded haphazardly. I have never got an email saying they're not refunding me cos of my lousy folding! As mirpuppet said make sure you return as soon as you can if you don't want them.
