Thread veins/spider veins on legs, look like permanent bruises. Will anything help me to get my legs out and not feel miserable?

I am pale too which doesn't help. I feel too self conscious to wear a skirt, and it's sooooo hot. Miserable. Do creams help? Can I get them zapped or injected? Any advice?

I have the same problem. Fake tan disguises it a lot. Don't be hot and miserable. Sad

Somebody recommended Sally Hanson's Airbrush on a similar thread yesterday :)

SkinnyVanillaLatte · 27/05/2012 23:29

I've used an Avon one which is like the Sally Hanson one (basically a foundation for legs). It's brilliant, but I don't know I could be bothered for anything other than special occasions.

I'd like a permanent solution too,but I think it's highly likely it'd be very costly,so I've never bothered investigating it.

I had mine injected - sclerotherapy? - a few years back at a SK:N clinic with good results. They haven't come back but of course new ones can appear. I will definitely go back if I get any that bother me. I think it cost £200 - 300 but was worth every penny.

I used to be ridiculously self conscious. I only had a few but it looked like a toddler had scribbled on my thighs with a blue biro. My legs will never be perfect but they don't look marked anymore.

If you can afford a permanent solution I'd say do it. I'm going to try that Sally Hanson stuff though - I keep reading about it on here.

Thanks Ladies. Prima, how did you go about finding a clinic? Is it something an NHS doctor could recommend? I'm scared to go somewhere I don't know the reputation of, and also of wasting money if they don't know what they're doing.
Make-up might have to suffice for the moment, but doesn't it look like make up on your legs?

Obviously if you really scrutinize it,it looks like make up,but from the distance most people would look at your legs,it doesn't. It's definitely the best solution I've found (barring tights) for a special occasion, but way too faffy for me as a daily thing.

You can get creams too.I did try one - it didn't work, but tbh I wasn't exactly consistent in its use.

linspins · 28/05/2012 22:06

Can you buy Avon stuff in shops? Does it have a particular name Skinny?

I got mine from a rep,but you can also get Avon online I think.

It's skin so soft 'soft and renewed age-defying+ flawless legs' in fair/medium that I use.

PrimaBallerina · 28/05/2012 23:42

I probably looked it up on the Internet. I can't remember but not via the GP. There are reputable places offering it in most cities I should think. I went to SKIN (or SK:N if you write it proper) in Birmingham.

puggirl · 02/06/2012 08:46

Primaballerima, did you have the treatments with a nurse or doctor at SK:N. I am not sure whether to pay the extra and have a doctor?? Thank you

PrimaBallerina · 02/06/2012 11:32

It was a doctor. I don't remember there being a choice.
