I have never had one but DD was keen to have one before wearing her hot pants in the sunshine.

Bodilight use fakebake tanner and the colour can be adjusted. I had never been there before- I just googled spray tan in the area I live.
Got there and it was £10.00 off until June Smile

chocolatespiders · 25/05/2012 23:02

Ah sorry i thought it was a chain of beauty salons

chocolatespiders · 25/05/2012 23:02

When i googled there was a few mobile ones that can come to your home

Lucyannieamy · 25/05/2012 23:06

Also a spray tan virgin. How do you choose a salon that wont leave you looking bright orange? Do they spray you naked? Clueless!

kaumana · 25/05/2012 23:14

£15 around here. They give you paper pants to wear.

chocolatespiders · 25/05/2012 23:24

They can alter the shade that they spray..
DD wore her bikini and she woke up the next day looking like she had been tangoed!! She showered and then the shade was beautiful.

I have occasional spray tans, normally before weddings when I have no choice but to front up in wedding guest gear. I pay £15-20 always at the same place, price seems to be quite random as I think it's a treatment that is regularly on offer.

My regular beautician is a very very tiny lady. I am not a large dress size but am very tall. I actually go somewhere else for my spray tans as I know I would feel like an ungainly giant with her and would find it hard to stand in front of her in a pair of paper pants, hoiking up my boobs to ensure full coverage. I get mine done by a lady at my hairdressers instead and had weighed up first that she was unlikely to make me too lumpish - maybe something to consider if you might feel self conscious.

I've never ended up going orange. I have that very pale Irish colouring and always ask for a light touch. Usually it's just enough to lift me from corpse to tiny healthy glow. I think you should be able to specify colour.

I was also a spray tan virgin until last month. Was advised by someone lovely on here to try a mystic spray tan.
It cost me around £20 and I was so pleased with it!

I am the type of person who if it does go wrong it would go wrong for me and I didn't have a single streak or dodgy patch.

It's an automated booth which I personally preferred to standing there in my undies being sprayed and can't recommend it enough - I had the 'glow' level of colour which was exactly like it says on the tin! Grin

I used to have a spray tan Every Thursday, and would never pay more than £10.00's for one. My tanner lady used to adjust the colour and sometimes made it a bit lighter looked beautiful.

Unless i was going to pay £30.00 for a St. Tropez or Fake-bake i dont think id pay more than £10.00 for a cheap brand.

ENormaSnob · 26/05/2012 14:10

£15 for a fake bake.

£10 for cheapy orangey one.

I'm oop north.

KateSpade · 26/05/2012 14:49

Im up north too! North-West. Their was a shop that opened in my town doing Spray tans for £7.00. Ive never been so excited in my life!

lumbago · 26/05/2012 15:54

Do you think there's a difference?

lumbago · 26/05/2012 15:54

I mean in quality of colour ?

KateSpade · 26/05/2012 16:41

Their is with really cheap ones Vs expensive brands, slightly but their is.

With cheaper brands, id ask for a lighter coating, then it wont look more brown rather than dark orange. Thats what i do anyway.

BaDaBing · 26/05/2012 16:43

£20 and then a top up is £10 (you have to go back within a week) which is good for wedding season!

daisydoodoo · 26/05/2012 16:46

£15 for fake bake. Only started going this year. It's a bit intimidating standing in front of a teenager in my paper pants but the effect is fab sI small price to pay

Krumbum · 27/05/2012 09:57
