Where can I get a sample of Estee Lauder Idealist?

Before I bite the enormous bullet and fork out a load of cash I really don't have, can anyone tell me where I can get a sample of Estee Lauder Ideallist? I've never used foundation or any thing on my face before, but now i'm nearly (whisper it) 40, the time has come to do something! I was in John Lewis at the weekend and oh so nearly bought some, but the thought of £40 on a possible waste of time stopped me. They didn't have any samples!

Estée Lauder have a money back guarantee so try it for two weeks you have to use morning and night, then if you don't like it take it back for a full refund.

seriously? Wow, that sounds too good to be true!

If you take a little pot, like from boots or muji most counters let you try a little bit. And so they should, it's a lot of money for something that you sit can't tell until you wear it for a day. Any luck on eBay for samples?

dont think I could ask for a bit in a pot, but will check out ebay

Most Lauder counters HAVE little pots! Ask nicely and explain you're reticent because of the price to buy without trying and have they got anything they could put a little bit in to... I work in a department shop and as these are different from the proper samples sent in I always forget about it Blush unless customers prompt me! They deff do it as they've given me some of their tinted moisturisor that works for all skin shades this way before!

Idealist is amazing - I swear by it (and I never wear make-up) I always stock up in duty free when I am travelling.

It's great!

I always just ask at the counter - never had any problems getting samples from any of the big names in Debenhams. Perhaps I am particularly assertivestroppy Wink

What's so good about it Percy? I have wondered about it but like the OP am a bit Hmm because it's quite pricey. I'm trying to combat multiple problems with my skin including flakiness, lines and unevenness of tone - do you think it would be good for any of those?

I had a bottle ages ago, didn't notice any massive change in my skin ongoing, but it makes your skin feel lovely and smooth and great to put make up on top of, I found it kind of like a serum/primer. Smells really nice too. Mine was a gift though, I wouldn't shell out for another when it's all gone.

IME Clinique turnaround concentrate is a fairly good cheaper substitute.
