I've decided to spend my birthday money on sorting my face out Grin

Recently I briefly tried going without facial products as such, and just used Dove soap - cue spots behind the ears I'm pregnant and a bit spottier than usual, though my skin is never especially clear, and I have some dry bits too. Last time I was pregnant I asked. Clinique lady in Boots about the dryness though, AMD she said it wasn't dry, I just needed to exfoliate. I do once in a blue moon

So I thought I might buy a good cleanser and moisturer (toner isn't really necessary, right?) I'm also open to trying the oil-based cleansing meathods I've seen mentioned on here. Only thing is, they can't be so outrageously expensive rhat I can't afford to replace them when the birthday money's gone.

Any recommendations?

Alpha h is fab. I've always had shit skin but its the best its ever been now. used to get red lumps on my jawline and neck- so self conscious I didnt want to leave the house, and blackheads on t zone. Alpha h balancing and exfoliating moisturiser and micro cleanse are the best skin are products I've ever bought. Also do OCM alternated with neutrogena. When I'm feeling flush again I'll buy the alpha h cleanser.

I use Liz earle too. I recently started using the new YSL Youth liberator serum and have to say its the best thing I have ever used on my face. I am normally skeptical about these so called miracle products and the hype that goes with them but I had a few sample sachets which I tried and loved it. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it has made my skin clearer, more radiant and even textured. Also you don't need as much moisturiser afterwards so you save a bit on that.

It costs £60, I bought mine duty free for £50 but there have been a lot of 10% off offers at the big dept stores recently.

I also think that Dermalogica would suit your skin type and budget. Jersey Beauty Company sell at the best price and there is a lot of info on their website.
The cleansing gel is second to none and their moisturises are also fab. I also rate their Microfoliant.
