Rose oil for the face? If yes, what to dilute it with?

Apparently rose oil is good for the face but not sure I want to pay £20 for the neal's yard one. I thought I could get it from Holland and Barrets and the dilute it with sth else as they say not to put it on the skin in this concentration. I read someone that it could be done with jojoba oil but I dont know what ratio it should be. What are your recommendations re essential oils, esp.. the rose one?

I use Trilogy Rosehip Oil, a few drops on clean skin under moisturiser. It sinks right in, so just needs to be smoothed on, not massaged in. I use it without diluting it with anything, a small bottle (20ml I think) lasts about 3 months.

Buy a rose essential oil and dilute in a carrier oil of your choice, such as sweet almond oil/ carrot seed oil/ jojoba oil - depending on your skin's needs. Would make a lovely evening treatment and you can also use under a mask to get extra soft skin.

3% dilution btw.

Basically, take 100mls of carrier (to suit skin type, I usually blend 2-3 together) and add 3mls of essential oil.

Rose oil is expensive and usually comes in 3ml bottles or larger, so just add the whole thing.

20 drops = 1ml

so, if you wanted to use a selection of essential oil, then you need a total of 60 drops per 100mls of carrier oil.

There are certain oils that you shouldn't use during the day, such as bergamot and also some that should not be used in pregnancy.

What skin type do you have and what are you looking to achieve?
