Im starting a new (weekend) job on saturday,it's just in a toy shop...

I'm a size 10.
The only polo shirt they have is a size 16.

I have to buy black trousers and black shoes, but I'm not sure what style?
I was thinking black brogues....maybe skinny trousers,or chinos?!

Help!

But what style of trouser?!

MrsSnaplegs · 19/05/2012 15:17

I think these would be more supportive especially as you will be on your feet all day Wink

trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 15:17

Skinny trousers definitely, and either black ballet flats or brogues.

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 15:17

or these brogues...

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 15:21

OP posts:
trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 15:22

these?

I'm not keen on the M&S trousers, they are too boot cut to wear with a baggy t-shirt.

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 15:24

Ooooh thankyou trixy they are perfect. Grin

trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 15:25

cropped would look ok too

Thumbwitch · 19/05/2012 15:25

I used to wear a polo shirt for work and had straight leg tracksuit style trousers to go with them (i.e. not gathered in round the ankles) - but then I needed to be really comfortable as well. I could pick them up from places like Peacocks for about £3 (sorry!) in black, to go with the black shirt - I found they balanced the shapelessness of the shirt quite well.

trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 15:29

loads to choose from on shopstyle

youarekidding · 19/05/2012 15:44

I wear polo T-shirt and sweatshirts to work and team them with straight leg combat style trousers. (Its special school not a shop though)

Teamed with some comfy but smart black shoes they look good. You can tuck in and release the polo shirt.

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 15:51

The wallis ones are sold out in my size Sad

What do you think of these?

OP posts:
trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 15:53

Get them, they look good.

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 15:54

Thankyou.

What do you reckon to the shoes I linked,up there ^. ?!

Dune Brogues or hush puppies ballet flats?

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 16:03

I can't decid eof I like these...love them in brown,unsure in black...

OP posts:
FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 16:12

more brogues...

Arggghhhhh! How do you decide?!

OP posts:
startail · 19/05/2012 16:26

Definitely the narrow high waist trousers.

If you wear low waisted boot cuts you'll look like your in our local schools summer uniform. Especially if you team them with the tattiest pair of cheap ballet pumps.

MrsSnaplegs · 19/05/2012 16:29

This is why I should stay away from S&B I'm clearly too old they were genuine suggestionsBlush

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 16:31

trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 16:31

I'm not keen on the hush puppies, I prefer a more classic style of ballet flat, but if you're going to be in your feet all day they might not be supportI've enough.

I like all the brogues you have linked to!! I don't know how you choose!

trixymalixy · 19/05/2012 16:44

or what about a loafer?

FriggFRIGG · 19/05/2012 16:44

I think I'm going with the schuh brouges....and the Asos Skinny trousers...
