Do you get holes in your tops while wearing jeans?

I have ruined many tops when wearing them with jeans. I think it is the hard bit at the top of the piece that goes over the button and it rubs tiny holes in to the top. Does anyone else suffer from this or know how to combat it?

This has happened to loads of my tops Angry. Tried different belt, still happens and no granite worktops either Envy. Very frustrating!

I have this problem - my belief is that it is caused by a combination of blet or button on jeans, colliding with my desk edge.

I don't have granite work tops. I spent most of the day sat at a desk and I googled this and some think it can be a result of seat belts rubbing. The holes are higher than the waist so I reckon it happens when I'm sat down. I also wonder if a larger tummy equals more holes...

I haven't got jeans at the moment but would be interested in hearing from anyone who tries the nail polish idea.

I have exactly this problem.first thought it was a particular belt, got rid but it continued.then thought moths....totally blitzed wardrobe with moth stuff but why would moths eat just round front waist?
Concluded that it's definitely the bevilled edge of my granite work tops. Will go for curved next time. I know this because wore brand new top, leant over to close blind et voila....holes!!
Now wear apron as much as poss in kitchen.

I have this problem. It only started happening after I had kids...still have a bit of a muffin top - I think the problem is belly bulge tucking t-shirt into waistband.

"I spent most of the day sat at a desk " there is your answer I promise you.
When on ML I am hole free!

I will check my desk's edges next week. Interesting, I never used to notice this problem, so it might tie in with the fact I had a new desk a couple of years ago. The one at home has a sharp edge. Lol! I'm going to put a top with a hole on and see if the desk edge is the same height. Might take a while to respond if reducing the muffin top helps!
